Much later, police had arrested Chapman on the charges of breaking & entering and attempted murder; among the other 43 murders, and Robin had left Lynn's apartment to get some fresh air, and to get away from any potential paparazzi since the media was probably going to find out how Chapman was stopped. And Robin knew he would have to be a key witness in Chapman's upcoming trial. Robin then sent the recording of himself singing to Barbara's phone number when suddenly, the voice of Batman said, "you did well, Atticus." Robin jumped and turned around to see Batman. "How did you sneak up behind me so quietly?" Robin asked, a bit jumpy. "Years of practice," said Batman, "also because I'm Batman. Sorry, I should have realized you were a bit on edge. How are you feeling?"

"A little shaken up, and all that adrenaline from hitting that sicko with a mallet is gone," replied Robin, "I'm just glad Lynn and her dog are okay. Wouldn't have wanted that guy to kill poor Bolt. He's such a good boy." Batman nodded and said, "I agree with that. Atticus, what you did was incredibly brave and courageous. I've known Lynn since she was 13. When her own mother locked her out of the house at that age, I promised Jason I would help take care of her, and Lynn has been like a daughter to me, just like Barbara. A father will do anything to protect his children. You've earned my respect and my trust for stopping Chapman. Thank you, Robin Warner." Robin brightened up and smiled as Batman shook his hand. "You're welcome, Batman," said Robin, "I guess I might see you next time I hang out with Kevin." He then got a text notification from Barbara that said, "I heard about what happened and I got your video. You've got quite the voice. If you're by Lynn's apartment, I'll pick you up there and we can hang out at the park." Robin read the text and then said aloud, "Well Batman, I guess I'll be waiting for Babs-" He looked around and Batman was gone. "How does he do that?" Robin asked himself.

10 minutes later, Batgirl drove in with her motorcycle. "Hey Batgirl!" Robin said enthusiastically. "Hey Robin," said Batgirl, "hop on my Batcycle, I know a shortcut to the park." Robin got behind Batgirl and she drove off on her cycle. Much later, they made it to the Gotham Park. When Batgirl got off her bike, she suddenly kissed Robin on the cheek, surprising the toon. When she let go, a bit of her lipstick was on Robin's cheek. "That's for saving Lynn and stopping Chapman," said Batgirl, "Lynn's like a sister to me, and you were very brave for saving her. Thank you." The two of them got off her Batcycle and Robin said, "looks like I earned Batman's respect." Batgirl smiled and said, "for good reason. You're practically going to be a hero now because you stopped the killer of so many innocent people. Their families are going to be grateful that the person they lost will finally be given justice. And you just proved that a hero doesn't have to wear a silly costume with a mask and cape. A hero can be anyone, even a toon." Robin smiled with pride. "You, uh, want to go on the swings?" Robin offered. "Sure," said Batgirl, "I loved going on the swings when I was a kid."

Robin and Batgirl got on two swings and started to swing. Robin laughed with enthusiasm as he enjoyed swinging up in the air. Batgirl giggled with equal enthusiasm as she swung on the swings, feeling the rush of being up in the air and enjoying it, just like free falling off various buildings when on patrol. Around 10 minutes later, the both of them stopped swinging. It was just the two of them. Barbara took off her mask and asked, "Robin... Do you like me? And when I ask if you like me, do you like me as more than a friend?" Robin looked at Barbara and said with sincerity, "yes. I've had a crush on you ever since we've met, and I like you as more than a friend. I guess with me being a toon, I'm not the most subtle with my body language. With the floating hearts and all that." Barbara softly laughed, "I thought it was cute. What do you like about me?" Robin thought all about Barbara's best qualities and then he replied, "I like that you're brave, practically a hands-on leader when the situation demands it, you're brilliant, honest, reliable, you're always easy to talk to, and I feel like I can easily trust you with anything. And I think you're the most beautiful person I've ever known, inside and out. Everything about you is attractive to me. And I always feel happy when I'm with you. You make my heart flutter when I think about you. That's what I love about you."

Barbara's cheeks grew red from blushing as she heard every compliment Robin told her. She could easily tell that he was telling the truth by his eyes and the love in his voice. "If you want the honest truth from me Robin, I have romantic feelings for you too," admitted Barbara, "I think you're incredibly talented, you're so thoughtful, sweet, honest, trustworthy, you always know when to make me laugh. You're brave and selfless. And I think you're handsome." Robin's heart soared when he heard these kind things from Babs. Robin held Barbara's hand and said, "Truth be told, as a freelance drummer with various other occupations, where I live is often unpredictable. One moment I could be here, the next I could be in my hometown of Acme Acres in California, or the next I might be in London. But I want to make this work. Us, together as partners."

"Writing or romantic?" Barbara asked, stroking Robin's face. "Both, with me in your life," said Robin, "because I love you, Barbara Gordon." Barbara smiled and said, "and I love you too, Robin Warner." She then kissed Robin on the lips, and Robin kissed Barbara back, their kiss officially sealing their new romantic relationship. It was about time this happened. They let go, and Robin said, "thank you for making me the happiest toon ever, Babs." Barbara smiled and said, "You've made me the happiest girl too, Robin."
