As I had moved from Braddell to Yio Chu Kang recently, my father was going to bring me to school and back from work for a week. It's not that I'm not ready to travel on my own; it's just to familiarise myself with the route. After my father dropped me, I walked into the school gate as I normally did...or so I thought.

The minute I crossed the road from the security guard checkpoint to the foyer, a few students looked at me and screamed, "It's her! The zombie from Amaze!" Screams followed as people pointed at me and ran away.
Great start. Dissed by 10 people in less than an hour.
I walked coolly into the school compounds purely assuming people were just acting that way because of the Instagram post about me being in Amaze and that they read in the news about the meet and greet fiasco. Maybe they were just scared of the toxic work environment I was in.
But it wasn't. As the day went on, more people ran away from me whenever I just walked around school or shot me a death stare and walked away from me. I was really treated like the plague. Even my classmates shot me disgusted faces when I did simple interactions with them, even sitting next to them.

When recess came, I went to the canteen and bought my food, before preparing to have recess myself. I knew I was going to be ghosted by the school and that I just disappeared over the holidays. In fact, I wish I could disappear. Until...
"Crystal!" A familiar voice screamed. I turned around. Ethan and his best friend, Simon? And Ria?! Why did they want to mix with me, a part of the plague?
"You wanna eat with us?" Ria said cheerfully.

"N-No," I admitted. "I'm the plague, after all..."
"You're not," Ethan screamed. "You're too nice to be the plague. Maybe it's some powerful influencer that manipulated them into thinking that way." So they enticed me for 5 minutes before I relented and sat next to them. For a moment, my worries disappeared as we laughed and talked. The atmosphere softened a lot all of a sudden.

Ria's POV Hello, I'm Crystal's friend from the NDP. I'm in the same group* as her and her bus partner. Im actually affiliated to Merlion Agency too. But as an artist, not an idol. We naturally talked a lot about work stuff. Like what we do at work.
When I mean I work for Merlion Agency, I play different roles for the shows I'm involved in. For one, I'm making the character designs. For another, I'm making all the posters. And maybe for the third, I'm making art for social media. It's enough to make me go crazy since I have many deadlines to manage. It's not as easy as being an idol, y'know. But it's fun; you never know what's going to happen next everyday.
And some exciting news—I'm going to be affiliated with Amaze really soon! As the main social media artist for their Instagram and Twitter. And I'm going to be introduced to the crew today. That afternoon Amaze's Meeting Room "Ria, you can come in whenever you're ready," a warm mature voice echoed from nowhere. Taking a deep breath, I opened the door to find Crystal, Ethan and 4 other people older than them.

We did some icebreakers again before Amaze and Ethan were ushered for dance practice. When I asked the manager why, she explained Ethan was due to perform in a National Day tour with the team as he was in the show. Considering I was in the show too, I was given two options: just draw content regarding the National Day tour or both draw and perform for the tour.
I still don't know why I went with this option, but I chose to join in. She then gave me the schedule for dance trainings and the assignments for the National Day tour. I thanked her and left as the next time I had to report was actually...the next day for dance trainings.
