Fuckkkk!!

I needed to wake up earlier but no my fortune had other plans. Made me late for the first day of my job. I don't know if lady Catriona will be there to scold me the first day but I still tried to save my grace as I picked the bag that I had luckily packed last night with all the essentials that I may require for today.

I had decided to wear something easy to carry, cotton blend blue button up and white jeans shorts which was not too short of the decency here.

Tied my hair in a braid and appiled a ht of blam on my chappy lips I ran out for my van.

The ride up to the Wilson's hills was of twenty minutes full and reaching there I found a visibly worried Catriona, who came and held me with broad eyes and said

'' Jess, dear, are you okay? I thought you won't come. I was so worried !''

I smiled a little as I said,
'' no, Catriona, I had just slept a bit more, I apologize for that, it won't happen again ''

She nodded and brought me inside and I dropped my stuff on the kitchen table.
She said how William was still asleep and wanted me to wake him up and she would make the breakfast here.

I went upstairs and it was eerily cold, it felt like the walls were straing at me deeply. Judging me and my presence.
And without giving a single thought I spoke out-

'' who are you there! Staring at me ?? ''

No reply, as expected, I laughed at my clumsiness and went to the assigned room. As I pushed the door opened, my eyes fell on the calmly sleeping boy, still that white porcelain mask is on his face and the room is filled with toys, lying on the ground.

He might have been playing with them last night. I picked the toy trains and the stuffies and put them in his basket.
The room was dark, so I went and opened the curtains, to let the sunlight in the room.

I moved towards his bed and sat on it. Children were not really my speciality but I believe with kindness and compassion I can make my job work. I need to.

'' It's time to wake up William, the sun is out !''

I cooed to him and hope he would listen but rather he '' umm no '' -ed me and moved the other side to sleep. I smiled at his words, he was no doubtedly a good child.

I shook his shoulders a bit and tried saying,

'' good boys always wake up with the sun, aren't you a good boy William ''

''Ummmhm, I um a goodt Boyhh ''

'' Then wake up,''

I put my hands around his shoulders ad lifted him in my arms and cradled him around the bed, to the window and lastly to the washroom. Made him sit on his stool and I left the room, waited outside for him to complete. He was a little light weight compared to a four year old child. But it's fine.

'' help me, anyone! ''

A call from the bathroom came out and I panicked, did he fell down ? Oh no..

I ran inside only to see, that baby William was struggling with the belts of his pajamas. I helped him with it and also with brushing his teeth. I cannot risk. He was so mannered and humble for a four year old, while other toddlers of his age are so chatty and snarky!

I came out with him, and I know he was surprised with my presence and was a bit uncomfortable too as he ran before me downstairs to his aunt.

'' looks like you did well, Jess! ''

She said as she lifted the boy up in her arms and gave him a morning kiss. She has already served all the breakfast, which comprised a lot. Salads, fruits, breads, types of jams, a jar of juice and a glass of milk.

She sat with William on a chair and I stood there not knowing what to do because potentially it was just a nanny-

'' come and sit with us here, ''

Thanks good heavens, I was so hungry. I needed food for the day to work and this was a full coarse meal. Both Catriona and William were quite graceful with their eating and I tried as much as I could but I think it didn't work much.

'' so Jess, there's an unfortunate announcement and I am so sorry I would have to deliver it like this, ''

Oh no, it's too early to fire me. Don't do it .

'' I'll be a little late to be home tonight so you would have to stay a it longer, till I arrive, then you may leave. I know it's so unannounced but I have no option ''

What!

'' no, no, it's fine. I'll manage. Um, I do also have a request, is there any washroom that I can use or a room perhaps ?''

'' sure, there is a guestroom upstairs, you can take it to yourself completely, when you stay here ''
