"this place isn't like that"

it's been about two days since the group left to take care of the herd.

Rick took most of the group with him, other than the children, housewives, etc.

its just been Maggie and I in the house since Glenn left. I'm not complaining, we've had some nice chats. I almost revealed to Maggie where I came from, but I didn't.

It's weird. I've only known Maggie for a short amount of time, yet I still feel like I can trust her, like I've known her for years.

Before Glenn left he told me to keep me and Maggie safe, no matter what. I've kept my word so far.

I'm walking through the streets of Alexandria when I see Carl- walking his little sister, Judith. I've had a few conversations with Carl since I've arrived, all being very short conversations.

We walk past each other, making eye contact.

When I said we've had a few conversations, none of them were nice conversations.

I don't understand Carl. He's seems like an okay kid. I've seen him with his sister, he's sweet to her, he takes care of her.

I don't know what I did to him to make him hate me so much.

I've been nice to him ever since I've arrived. Unless- unless he knows. He knows who my father is, what he does.

He can't know, right?

I'm nothing like my father, I want him to know that. I've only killed people because they attacked me first, and i'll regret that for the rest of my life.

I look back at Carl, he has his sheriff's hat on and his long hair dangled over his shoulder. A part of me likes his hair. Hell, it's longer than mine, but I bet when he takes that hat off he has horrible hat hair.

"AH!" I heard someone scream, both Carl and I look back to see one of the housewives getting stabbed- by someone not apart of our group.

I turn back to look at Carl but he's already gone. He must've taken Judith someplace safe- good.

I was frozen. I didn't know what to do, where to go.

My first thought was Maggie, I had no idea where she was, if she was okay.

She has to be okay, it's Maggie. She's the strongest women i've ever met.

She told me about what her group went through before Alexandria. How they were living at a prison when a man- the governor attacked them, killing Maggie's father, Hershel.

She also told me how her younger sister, Beth, was kidnapped and taken to a hospital. Her and her group went to the hospital to get Beth back, but when they did, the owner refused to let Beth go.

Beth walked up to the owner and stabbed her, causing the owner to shoot Beth in the head, killing her.

Even after all the pain Maggie's gone through, she still stands tall, and I admire her for that.
