Camp Crystal Lake, 1958
It's a beautiful night on a summer camp. The birds are squawking and a frog is croaking in the lake. The lights are on, and the camp counselors are singing in their lodge, by the fireplace. The campers are sleeping in their cabins, on their beds. But as they sleep, someone or something is walking around in the camp. It enters a little kids' cabin. It looks around as the kids are all sound asleep. It walks pass them, and opens another door. Its darkness spreads around as it walks. The counselors continue singing in their lodge. It watches from a shed now, and it sees a couple coming out of the lodge, and heads for the shed. It hides it sees them. Their names are Barry and Claudette.
Claudette: Somebody'll see!
Barry: No way.
They come inside, and turn on the lights. They both make out.
Claudette: Does MaryAnn kiss as good as I do?
Barry: How would I know?
Claudette: Oh, you.
Barry: Come on.
He takes her hand, and leads upstairs. It listens to them as they head up there.
Claudette: You said we were special.
Barry: I meant everything.
It continues listening, and hears the sounds of moaning. They're both making love up there. The darkness inside grows more as it listens. It slowly walks to the stairs. It hears them laughing and talking as they make love. It slowly climbs up the stairs. It spots them by the stairs, with Barry on top of her. She giggles as she kisses him. The figure makes a wood creaks on the stairs, making Claudette hear it.
Claudette: Somebody's there!
They both stop what they're doing as they sit up. They fix up their clothes as the figure reaches the top of the stairs. Barry stands up as he fixes his pants.
Barry: We weren't doing anything. We were just messing--
Then he groans as the figure does something to him, making Claudette scream in terror. She stands up, and backs away. Barry falls down on the floor, clutching his bloody stomach. He's been stabbed by the figure. Claudette backs away from the figure, trying to find a way out. The figure watches her as it blocks her way. She is very scared.
Claudette: Please, don't!
She sees that she can't get past it. It then advances at her. She throws a couple of boxes at it as she panics.
Claudette: No! No! No!
She backs away in a corner, and starts screaming in complete terror as it comes at her. The scene freezes as it zooms in on her screaming face, and it fades into white. For this is the start of a mystery terror on the camp.
