VEGAS POV :

I woke up with Pete in my arms, his head laying on my chest and my hands around his waist, I sniffed his fresh scent he smelled like me our scents mixed, he was still sleeping in my embrace I didn't want to wake him up, yesterday was so draining a lot of events happened and I needed a break.

I still can't believe that Pete is here with me safe, I thought I was Going to lose him I was terrified of the idea of not hearing his voice or seeing his pretty face how can I survive?

Actually, I started to realize my feelings for him I know it's not a mere sexual attraction but I'm emotionally attached to him I don't know if it's love or just attachment because we spend a lot of time together and we have chemistry in bed, maybe that's it, the fact that I even don't know what love is, my Dad's words still stuck in my mind "love makes us weak" that was his words I guess he's right I feel weak in front of Pete but at the same time he gave me strength...

Anyway, I'm afraid if Pete knows that I have feelings for him he would end the contract between us as I broke one of the rules I can't risk losing him.

But that made me think of yesterday's event why did he kiss me there even though he put the no-kissing rule himself I was shocked but I didn't want to give myself false hope I thought maybe he was just trying to make me calm down, but when I kissed him again in the bathtub he didn't push me but he kissed back with matching hunger, was he happy or it's just kissing for him and no feelings attached?

But damn when I kissed him I felt on cloud nine his soft tasty lips I almost drew blood from his lips from the aggressiveness of my kisses.

But he was so into it and I loved it this not not going to be our last.

Nevertheless, I have to find out who was the reason for what Tawan did I'm sure as hell that there's someone more powerful behind what happened cause there's no way Tawan can do this without the help of someone else also he wouldn't stab me in the back for no reason, I need to know who's the person who was tailing me all this time and how did they know about my relationship with Pete, I won't let it slid.

And I have to keep Pete safe and under my sight for now until I could catch those motherfuckers.

I felt Pete moving in my embrace as he rubbed his eyes cutely and then looked up at me with sleepy eyes.

"Good morning" I smiled at him while ruffling his soft hair.

"Good morning..." he said in his sleepy voice.

"Did I sleep for a long time?" he pouted, so cute.

"No, I don't mind if you want to sleep more," I said as I kissed his head.

He was silent for a while his eyes wandered around as if he was thinking about something.

"Vegas..."

"Hmm?"

"Were you engaged?" he questioned looking up at me, I guess Tawan told him...

"It wasn't real, I lied to him..." I have to tell him the truth.

"Why did you lie to him?"

"look it's a long story, I'll explain but not now" I wasn't ready for a confrontation yet.

"Vegas, you always say that but never explain to me while you were the one who brags about the dating thing!"

"Pete pls, I don't want to talk about it now"

"FINE, BUT DON'T PRETEND THAT YOU CARE ABOUT ME! I'M GOING HOME" He shouted angrily while rising from the bed.

"Pete...I'm sorry, please listen" I said as I held his waist from behind bringing him close to my chest.
