INFECTION (ATEEZ FF)

Kyra's P.O.V:

As I walked out to the open area of the school, I watched as I saw the infected immediately take notice of me and slowly walk over. My eyes immediately saw red. I was angry. I was upset. Why did my parents have to die because of a stupid science experiment? I pulled my long (h/c) into a ponytail and grabbed my gun. I aimed and then shot, killing the horde of infected people one by one. In only a matter of seconds, more came around the corner. I was busy quickly changing my ammo case and didn't see an infected person coming towards me.

"Kyra!" I heard a shout. I finished replenishing my ammo and turned to see San standing over an infected person. He turned to look at me.

"Be careful! You could've died if I didn't come to save your ass!"

"Oh i'm sorry! I said I could handle this!" I spat back.

"Hey both of you! Shut up! We need to hold them all off remember! Which means we must work together!" Mingi stood in between us and started shooting at the infected. San huffed and started slicing and dicing whilst I got back to shooting.

"They're moving the stuff to the truck! Protect them at all costs!" San shouted to the both of us.

"Don't tell me what to do hyung!" Mingi shouted back, still shooting whilst walking backwards to the path the boys were taking to bring the stuff to the vehicle.

"Well someone has to you know! Kyra's not in the right mind to do so and you're just standing there!"

"Okay okay! I'm coming you idiot!" Mingi talked back as he reached the path.

"Kyra get over here! Seonghwa's coming out with Ara now!" Hongjoong called out as the rest of the guys finished putting the supplies into the truck. I walked over to the door to protect the two who were just coming out.

"Unnie! You're okay!" Ara exclaimed.

"Yes but hurry to the truck now!" I said to her. She gripped Seonghwa's hand tighter as they both sped over to the truck, Seonghwa helping Ara into the back as he got into the front with Yeosang as he's driving. Once everyone else got in, Mingi, San and myself climbed in. Yunho grabbed my hand as I climbed in to stop myself from falling.

"We're all in! Seonghwa step on the gas!" Wooyoung shouted as he sat next to Ara and Hongjoong. The boy immediately stepped on the gas, forcing all of us back. Jongho held my arm to prop me up.

"Hyung there's still a lot of them following us!" He said to Hongjoong, who was busy putting a blanket over Ara as she was shivering.

"What the fuck? They can run?!?" San shouted.

"Yeah, me and Kyra found out that discovery when we were being chased yesterday."

"AND YOU DIDN'T TELL US?!?" They all shouted.

"Well the topic wasn't brought up." Mingi shrugged his shoulders. I then spotted a grenade in the corner of the truck.

"Yunho pass me the grenade!" I shouted to the boy who was closer to it.

"Wait-what?!?!" He shouted back.

"Just do it!" I spat back. He immediately listened and gave me the grenade.

"Do you even know how to open it?" Mingi asked me.

"Trust me, playing Call Of Duty has really prepared me for this day!"

"But aren't you playing with a controller and pressing buttons?" I then removed the safety pin. His eyes widened.

"I'm not going to throw it at you idiot." I said calmly as I chucked it behind me. As soon as it hit the ground, it exploded, killing all the infected behind us.

"Woah! My unnie is so cool!" Ara said with stars in her eyes.

"And you didn't even look when you threw it... THAT WAS AWESOME!" Yunho shouted, tackling me in a hug.

"Huh, baseball actually helped after all."

"WAIT YOU DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE AIMING AT THEM??" San shouted. I pulled away from Yunho and turned to face San who was staring at me with wide eyes.

"No I just threw it. I wanted to feel cool throwing my first grenade of course."

"YOU COULD'VE KILLED US!"

"But I didn't!"

"You are an idiot!"

"Hey i'm not an idiot! You didn't even think of it!"

"BUT IF I DID I WOULD'VE USED MY EYES AND THROWN IT INSTEAD OF TRUSTING MY FUCKING INSTINCTS!"

"SAN LANGUAGE!" Seonghwa shouted from the front of the car. I stuck my tongue out at him and he rolled his eyes and crossed he arms, leaning back in the truck.

"So do we have a destination?" Mingi asked Hongjoong.

"Nope. We're just going to drive around and see where it takes us."
