Shout It!

Chapter One:

I stood at the edge of the stage, head bobbing to the music. As the set ended, I smiled and clapped along with the crowd, cheering. The band waved to the crowd and thanked them for coming out before heading off stage.

A young brunette, tan tattooed, toned man came running off stage, smile on his face. He ran over to me and threw his arms around me before taking my hand and pulling me on stage. My eyes widened, unsure of what was going on.

I pulled on his hand slightly, wanting to go back to hiding behind the curtain. I wasn’t one to be in the spot light, like my best friend.

“Mitchel,” I said nervously, pulling on his hand harder.

Mitchel took a microphone off the stand and looked out at the crowd, the majority was still there.

“Hey, guys,” he called to the crowd, holding my hand tightly, “I got something to say.”

The crowd got shockingly silent. I bit my lip, nervously.

He smiled at me, and I smiled back, butterflies in my stomach. He turned back to the mic, “I have something to say. To this very girl. “

He pulled me closer and turned to me, “This has been one hell of a summer, Sophi. We went all around Europe, faced our biggest problems together. We’ve found out stuff about each other that we didn’t know about even after being friends for so long. You’ve been my best friend since 3rd grade and last night you were on the phone talking to your brother. I heard you, you thought I was sleeping. But I heard everything.”

My eyes widened, that meant he heard me tell my brother I’m in love with him. Mitchel smiled at me, “Don’t worry. I heard you say you loved me. I love you too Sophi. A lot. More than a best friend.”

I blushed and tears came to my eyes. Mitchel put his hand on my chin and tilted my head up and gave me a kiss. I heard the crowd cheering and clapping in the background but it faded as the kiss continued. I could feel, hear or focus on nothing but me and Mitchel.

I guess though I should start at the beginning and tell you how it came to be me kissing Mitchel Musso on stage.

It all started back in 3rd grade. I was going to perform in our class talent show but ran off stage crying with stage fright. Mitchel found me and said that he heard me singing and wanted to hear me again, and said he would sing with me. That was the first and last time I sung in front of an audience, Mitchel was more of the entertainer. Now I’m not going to go that far back and tell you every little detail but I will take you for a ride and tell you what is important.

Now let’s fast forward and I’ll tell you what you need to know. My name is Sophi Monroe. Ever since that day, Mitchel and I have become best friends, inseparable. In high school he started acting and got a role on Hannah Montana. Now everyone knows the story and his career. After the show ended, he focused more on his singing career. That is where I come in. I had always been his friend, but with Hannah Montana, though we still talked, we didn’t see each other often, maybe only once or twice a year. After Hannah Montana, Mitchel called me as soon as the final episode stopped taping and asked me if I would like to be his band manager. Summer was coming up so I agreed, but he would have to wait another week till I was completely done with high school and past my graduation. I remember clearly because he got mad that I hadn’t invited him to graduation and as he said that, he found his invitation in the mail. Oh Mitchel, what am I going to do with you?

Now let’s skip ahead and I’ll let you watch.

May 22nd 2011:

I walked outside into the bright sun, tears in my eyes and a smile on my face. I hugged my friend Nick, getting make up on his gown.
