hyunjin and jeongin had been inseparable since they were little kids. they grew up in the same neighborhood and, from the very beginning, there was something special between them. jeongin had always admired hyunjin, not just for his good looks but for his kindness, intelligence, and confidence. they were both 17 and 18 now, navigating the challenges of high school together.

but.. jeongin had a secret, one that he could hardly contain. he was deeply in love with hyunjin, but he was convinced that the older was too good for him. he often found himself lost in thoughts, daydreaming about the day when he could finally tell hyunjin how he felt.

but what hyunjin didn't know was that he was experiencing similar emotions. be cherished jeongin's company, admiring his warmth and sincerity. it was a love that he couldn't quite put into words yet. despite their close friendship, they both carried their feelings as unspoken burdens.

their unique way of communication with each other set them apart from their friends. when jeongin was younger, he struggled to speak. he would stutter and sometimes burst into tears when he tried to talk, leaving others puzzled about what was causing his speech impediment. over time, his speech had improved, but those memories of his early struggles remained.

so they came up with a way to connect that transcended words. using their fingers, they would write messages on each other's legs or backs, conveying their thoughts and feelings without uttering a single word. it was their secret language, a silent bond that only they shared, allowing them to express what they couldn't speak aloud.

as they continued to grow, their connection deepened. both hyunjin and jeongin continued to communicate in the same way they did when they were kids. it was an unspoken way of comfort.

in their favorite local bar, the friends gathered for a night of laughter and drinks. they were all having a great time, but something was different about jeongin. he, who was normally the life of the party, was uncharacteristically quiet. he had been lost in his thoughts throughout the evening, and it didn't go unnoticed.

as the night went on and the drinks flowed, minho, already on his fifth beer, decided to make things interesting. he made a bold offer to the group, saying, "whoever goes to that waitress and chats her up, i'll give you my wallet for the rest of the night." expectant looks were exchanged among the friends, all anticipating that jeongin would seize this opportunity.

seungmin chimed in, playfully prodding jeongin, "wow, that's shocking, jeongin. i thought you would jump at the opportunity to spend all of minho's money."

jeongin, however, just smiled and shook his head. hyunjin, who was sitting beside him, gave jeongin a look filled with concern, but jeongin simply smiled in response.

seungmin, always up for a challenge, declared, "i'll do it," as he stood up. however, minho promptly grabbed seungmin's arm and pulled him back down, sternly saying, "no, you won't." changbin chuckled and teased, "why not? know that you'll get jealous?"

minho scoffed and replied, "no, i just don't want him with all my money." laughter erupted, but jeongin remained lost in thought, gazing at the floor.

felix couldn't resist stirring the pot, playfully saying, "when will you two stop acting like you hate each other and just kiss already?" hyunjin joined in, joking, "for real, just get in each other's beds and sort it out."

seungmin rolled his eyes and retorted, "no fucking way, and hwang hyunjin, you're one to talk about sorting things out in bed" hyunjin raised an eyebrow, confused, and asked, "what do you mean?" minho and seungmin exchanged knowing smirks, leaving hyunjin even more puzzled. "stop smirking like perverts and tell me what you mean."
