Upton's POV: I'm taking a day off today to get the twins into kindy. Jay is Undercover at the moment. I am about to wake them up. Rubs is at school. I walk into the twins' room. I sit down beside them. "Lilac, Aubrey, wake up babies." I murmur They rub their eyes and sit up, "mama." "Hey babies." I smile and get some clothes out of the their closet. I get them dressed and we go downstairs. "Mama? Where Dada?" Lilac asks "He's still working baby," I kiss her hair. She nods as I brush her hair. I then brush Aubrey's hair. I get them fed then shoes on. I open the door. I follow the girls out and close the door. I notice a piece of paper taped on the door. I get it off and open it.
Hailey, My sweet baby girl, why since you left, I've been taking out frustration on poor baby Adalyn. Your little sister misses you. Once I'm done with her, I'll come after you and your sweet girls. I'll ditch her with you. The petty 6 year old.

I put the note in my back pocket and shake it off my mind and jump in the truck. I make sure the girls are buckled in. I drive to the kindergarten. I get the girls out and they hold my hand. It's the kindy at Ruby's school. I walk into reception. The receptionist looks up. "Hi, welcome to West Sunset Elementary school, can I help you?" She smiles "Yes, hi, I'd like to get my twin daughters into Kindergarten?" I smile "Ok, here are the clipboards. Please fill out the booklet, one per child!" She hands me two clipboards. I grab them and lead the girls to some couches. They sit and play on the play mat. I start filing them out. I read it through in my head. Birthday. Names. DOB. Medical. Emergency contacts. Learning difficulties. I finish. I hand them in. "Ok, well get them in and call you when they are in. And just a question. You've listed both you and their father are cops. Is there anyone to collect them from school?" The receptionist asks "Yes, they have an older sister in year 5. Ruby Halstead." I smile "Dats sissy." Lilac smiles "Yeah baby," I smile to her We leave and as we get to the car. I see a note on the windshield. I grab it and open it.
We know that Jake's a cop and your husband. We WILL kill him, you and your three kids. If you don't get him OUT!

"Girls, in the car. We have to go see grandpa Hank!" I smile falsely and get them in before buckling them in. I drive to the 21st and jump out. I get the twins out. I lead them in and go straight upstairs. I walk em in. "Girls, break room, go!" I tell them They run in there. "Upton?" Voight walks out. I hand him the note. He reads it. "Where's Halstead right now?" Voight asks "At his camp down." Atwater explains "Pull Him OUT NOW!" Voight orders, "Upton and the girls are being threatened Kevin and Adam grab their coats and run out. "Get burgess and Roman to get Ruby out of school." He tells Olinsky. Al heads downstairs. Lilac runs out of break room, "mama, Somethings wrong wif sissy." I run in and see Brey sitting in a corner, rocking. "Berry, come here." I sit crossed legged and Brey crawl so to my lap, sobbing, "what's wrong baby girl. "I want Daddy!" She sobs, "I'm scared." "He'll be here soon." I whisper, "your ok. Your ok." I stand up and she sits on the couch. "Hailey?" I see Jay run upstairs "Jay." I run and wrap my arms around his neck, not being able to for a month, crying. "Hey, hey, hey, shh!" He kisses my hair. "Daddy!" The twins run for him and I let him hug them. "Daddy?" Ruby asks at the stairs with Roman and Burgess "Hey Rubs." He stands up and hugs her. "Daddy." Ruby hugs him. I remember the other note in my pocket. "Kev, run a name for me." I ask him and he nods, "James Upton." "Huh?" He looks at me "He's my father. Just run it. I need his address. He used to abuse me and now he's abusing my six year old sister!" I sigh Everyone stares and jay wraps an arm around my shoulder. "946 Websidia drive?" Kevin exclaims "Alright, childhood home. Voight!" I call "Yeah Upton?" He asks "We need to go to 946 Websidia Drive. Child abuse." I explain He nods. "Ruby, watch your sisters!" I tell her as we run out. She nods and herds her sisters into the break room. We drive to the address and it brings back memories. We pull up. I freeze. "Hailey, come on. Think about your sister!" Jay whispers I nod and we get out. I knock on the door. My dad opens it. "Hailey!" He opens his arms for a hug and I slam the arrest warrant onto his chest and enter the house. "Ada!" I yell, "Ada! It's HayHay!" "HayHay!" I hear whispered from behind a locked door. It's like 50 cm tall. I bend down and break off the lock. I open it and see Adalyn inside. "Ada." I open my arms and she crawls out onto my lap, "hey baby. Hey Ada." "HayHay." She whispers and curls against me. I lift her up and Jay passes me a blanket. I lay it over her. We walk out. I see an ambulance there. I carry Ada over there. She sees and grips onto me harder. "AdaBear, their gonna make sure your ok. I'll stay with you." I whisper She nods and I place her on the bed. The paramedics check her over and they say she's good to go. I lift her up again and carry her to the car. I buckle her into one of the twin's car seat and quickly drive us three to the shops and buy her a car seat. I put it in and put up a spare seat in the boot for Ruby. We need a new car. I buckle Ada in and drive Jay and I back to the district. I stay in the car with Adalyn. Jay runs out with the girls. He gets the twins in and Ruby jumps in the boot. I drive us home. Jay helps us get everyone out. "Mama, you never told us who this is!" Brey tells me "This is Adalyn. She's gonna stay with us. She's six." I tell them, "we can call her Ada or Addie." "Ok, hi Addie!" Lilac smiles "Hi." Adalyn whispers. "Come, play with our princesses!" Aubrey holds out her hand Ada runs off with them. "We need a new car! And house. We have no room for Addie." I lay my head on jays chest "I know. I was gonna give you these on your birthday but I guess we need them now." Jay hands me a little box. I open it. It's two sets of keys. House and Car. And two pictures. The car of my dreams and the house of my dreams.
