I guess what I did could be seen as drastic, but it was the best chance I had. Maybe I would have gotten my fairy tale ending without making that choice, but when I recieved the life-changing news the chances of that seemed slim to none.
The real surprise was that I could have a longer, happy, life thanks to my choice, and keep my soul.
