"Hey..." I said softly, in order not to scare whatever it was. I could not see the other parts of the body because of the hair and as I tentatively reached down and asked, "Are you hurt? Do you need some help?"
Before I could finish my sentence, whatever it was screamed at me. The sound was shrill and piercing that I had to clasp my hands over my ears in pain and stumble back from her.
It seemed as if my head was going to explode and I fell to a knee, trying to shut out the sound of her painful scream. I felt something warm start to slowly seep from one of my nostrils.
Suddenly, the scream stopped and the creature jolted up against the wall of the building like a spider and was gone in a flash as it climbed over the building and vanished out of sight.
In great relief, I collapsed on my hands, breathing hard as if I had been underwater for several minutes. Whatever had been seeping from my nose, formed into a ball and dropped into the tiny puddle of water under me and I realized it was blood.
My nose was bleeding.
I quickly straightened up in shock and felt around my nostrils with my fingers but the blood had stopped. But much to my dismay, I also had bled from my ears too and they had left a bloody stain on my palms and the sides of my neck.
"Fuck!"
I jolted to my feet and looked around to see if anyone else had witnessed what had just happened but I was all alone.
I was still panting hard and trying to recover from the skull-piercing pain that I had just experienced when I noticed a glowing blue liquid on the spot where the creature had been lying.
Carefully taking a closer look at it, I realized that it was its blood which meant that the creature was hurt and was bleeding out.
Blue blood?
No human had blue blood!
It didn't look human anyway.
Then what was it? The hair and the eye? Yes! The fucking speed too and the death scream!
Humans don't have all those features.
It must be some alien.
Alien?
Wait, ALIEN???!!!
No fucking way!!!
Aliens are a myth!
Whatever that was didn't look like she was of this world though!
But what should I do?
Was it dangerous?
It was out there roaming the streets right now! It could hurt someone!
What should I do???
I started to recklessly pace around. I didn't know what to do!
Should I call the cops?!
Nah! They'll probably think I've lost my mind!
I mean, no one would take me seriously that I had just seen an alien who screams like a banshee.
The backdoor opened and a head poked out, it was the janitor.
"Hey, Kent!"
I spun around, a bit startled.
He raised a brow as he stared at me with a concerned expression on his face.
"You okay? You look pale."
"Yeah, I'm." I quickly said, hoping he didn't see the dried blood under my ear going towards my jawline.
"The boss wants you back in. Ted can't attend to all the customers all by himself."
