Flashback To A Similar Time

Flashback to five years ago

Felix planned out a date for us but he refused to tell me anything about what he planned which makes me even more nervous.

What kind of clothes do I need to wear? Will I need to bring condoms? Do I need to fill up my gas?

I’m surprised that he is even doing this because normally I'm the one that plans our date.

I don’t want to put too much stress on him though. Felix already has enough stress with his father so I won’t add more to it unless he wants to.

His father hardly lets him do anything unless it involves school as he claims “You don’t need to be a lazy bum all your life so that means you have to study constantly”.

Felix ended up telling his father he had a 'friend' that was helping him and sometimes he didn’t ‘know what time it was’.

I park down a bit down the road on his street but with his phone being dead,I can’t do anything about it. I refuse to knock on the door because if I see that bastard, my filter goes off. I should turn his ass in but he’ll think that it was Felix that did it anyway.

His home is average looking with the white paint on the walls and two lawn chairs on each side of the door.

There are also two flower pots but the one on the right hand side, which is lilies, has the key under it just in case I need to get in.

I also notice that there are two dead plants in front of the garage,I wonder what that was about. “Lost in a wet dream or something ?” Felix says as he opens the passenger door getting into the car.

“What’s up with the dead flowers?” I ask him before he places his hand on top of mine before he shakes his head.

“Long story,my mother left my father when I was 7 years old and I really think that father loved him the best that he could. But love doesn’t mean everything in order to stay. To this day,he still doesn’t touch the flowers as it is the only sign that she was there”

A tragic love story but I hope more karma ends up biting him and whatever happens,I hope that he ends up alone. Felix lived in Australia most of his life but he had to move back to Korea since his father is Korean.

They settled it by their income ect but they came to the conclusion his father would be the one taking custody of him. I don’t know much more than that.  The court didn’t know that later on he would turn abusive after his wife left him.

Night is the one time that Felix truly feels that he is at ease,or at least that is what he told me before. Mostly because his father has to work at night so that means that he wouldn’t know where Felix has been.

Chan is the only person his father allowed him to be around at the house at night time due to Chan’s parents being friends with him for such a long time.

Felix walks out of the house locking the door behind him carrying what seemed like a heavy bag for him. He opens the door, setting the bag on the floorboard before getting in the car. “Running away from home Lix? Tell me where and I will drive you wherever.”

“And what about school?” Felix asks clearly amused but also lowkey considering it.

“Then we ask for our diplomas early as we have but a few days left and then leave.” The apartment that I found anyways is about 2 towns away from this place, I have had close to enough anyways.

19 is legal in Korea however but I know that my parents will sign for our apartment or put it under their name until I can change it.

“You seriously got this all planned?” Felix looks shocked before he shakes his head “I wish that was the case”
