Cabin Fever

The car has now stopped moving as I feel Felix shake my arm snapping me out of my dream. Sometimes my dreams are good but others are bad. Somethings that are in my dreams, I would never want happening.

I rapidly blink as my eyes are still blurry before looking over at Felix. "What's wrong, love?"

I look around to see that we are parked at a gas station as the annoyingly bright lights are everywhere. I check the time on the stereo, '11:00'. How long is this drive going to be? Is his anxiety getting to him?

"I was just waking you up to see if you wanted anything inside or needed to use the bathroom, we still have a hour left" I groaned, leaning my head back cursing that the trip is so long.

"Are you taking me to the woods or something to kill me?" I whine jokingly before he smacks my knee gently.

"Wild imagination." Felix smiles at me before I get out of the car. I grab the keys out of the engine to make sure he can't refuse. "I can go baby,what is it that you need?"

"I'm not letting you go alone" I tell him before wrapping my arm around his slender waist. I kiss his forehead as we walk at perfect pace with each other.

"I'm 24 now Jinnie, I think I can go in alone. I was only going to pay for the gas since someone forgot to fill the gas after running on almost empty" Felix teases me before he pats my hand.

I use my other hand giving him 20 dollars but he only takes the money tucking it back into my pocket. "I'll pay for it since it was my idea to go out this far and spontaneously. I don't like taking money or having people pay for things for me."

He's so kind but at the same time, it's my car and he has already been through so much. This is the least I can do but he wouldn't even do this. Stubborn..

"I wanted to stretch my legs anyways,we still have some way to go so I want to do it while I have a chance to."

"Are you sure it's just your legs that need attention?" That man gets horny at such random times but I can't say anything either.

I let go of him but continued to walk acting pouty just to bug him. "Last one in the gas station has to pour ice down their shirt"

Felix dares me before running across the road as I sigh trying to catch up with him.

Does this man know how to stay out of danger? Wasn't the car wreck enough and now he wants to be run over by one? He isn't thinking but I doubt anyone will come anyways.

"Lixie, you better by quicker than me and more fucking careful" I try to pick up the pace as I don't want to be freezing for the rest of the car ride.

Felix makes it to the gas station door first which means I get a trip to iceland. I hope there is at least some place to warm up wherever he is taking me.

I don't care what it is, hot tub,fireplace,or even in a bed cuddling next to him with plenty of blankets.

We walk inside the small gas station that only has three isles of food and travel items then a row of drink coolers.

I grab a soda from the cooler as Felix chose water. "Here baby, I'll pay for it"

"Hyun,don't push your luck." He playfully scolds me, smiling before paying for our drinks and gas.

We walk out of the gas station and  back to the car. Felix begins to pump the gas while I lean on the car since Mr spaz forgot to unlock the car door.

Felix puts the pump back in it's spot as I walk right in front of Felix tilting his chin up a bit before softly telling him "Alright baby, do your worst"
