Was this really the best idea? I'm not sure, it feels surreal. "Are you hard of hearing? Do you need a paper or something?" He made a gesture of writing something on his hand. I shook my head, "N-no, I'm fine." "Okay then, where is your house?" I couldn't say anything, my mouth just wouldn't open "Here, just enter your address in my GPS." He handed me his phone. I entered my address and he began driving.

I moved the AC so it would be aiming for my face, it felt good, "Sorry for the smell, didn't expect anyone other than me to be sitting here. I can turn it down if you're cold" I shook my head again, "It's fine, it's just a little humid that's all." He nodded and continued driving. As we drove, I noticed he kept eyeing the box of cigarettes and fidgeting a lot too. He wanted to smoke one right now, but didn't since I was in here too, "Why do you smoke?" I spoke before I could even register it.

He looked a bit taken back, "It helps me calm down." I frowned, not completely sure what that meant, "How does it calm you down? It smells horrible and has terrible side effects." I questioned, he laughed. "Look, it just does. My father did it and I picked up on the habit too, I guess. At first, obviously, it sucks, but with repetition, it gets better. Almost medical, if you must." He chirped, "You mean, addictive? I saw you fidgeting, that's why I asked the question." I said.

He raised an eyebrow at me, "How the hell do you know that I'm addicted? Do you even know what addiction looks like, Blondie?" I felt my cheeks burn up, "Whatever." I rolled my eyes and looked out the window. He let out a low chuckle and continued driving, dropping the subject.

The light turned green and we stayed silent the remaining time until we got to my house, "Well, here's your stop Blondie." The heavy rain had stopped, it was only a drizzle now. I got out without a word, he rolled down his window, "Have a good day Blondie." And he sped off.
