It was Friday night 10 p.m, my best friend Jack and I were bored out of our minds and had nothing to do.
All of a sudden he jumped off the couch and shouted "grocery store"!
"What?" I gave him a puzzled look.
"we should go grocery shopping it'll be fun" he begged.
"Fine" I replied. At least we found something to do.
We soon arrived at the grocery store Johnson had a dumb smirk on his face as we got out of his car.
"What's with the smirk" I questioned.
"Hm. . .nothing" he grinned.
We walked into the store grabbed a shopping cart and he immediately pulled me into the cereal aisle
"hold the cart" he pushed the cart toward me and started throwing random stuff into the cart
"I think that's enough cereal" I said.
"Don't worry I'll pay for everything" he winked.
"It's not the money I'm worried about I just don't want to grab another shopping cart" I giggled.
"OK I think we got enough cereal" he laughed.
"I think we should grab some fruit" I added.
"sounds good" he said as we walked to the produce section.
I grabbed some avocados and apples and stuck them in the cart.
Salsa music came on and Jack started dancing
"Jack what are you doing" I laughed as he started juggling potatoes.
"Having fun" he grinned and set the potatoes down.
"Leave the cart here for a sec, follow me" he coaxed.
I followed him until he stopped and handed me a giant jar of mayo and he picked up a large can of tuna. Then we went to the next aisle and set them down
"what?" I gave him a weird look.
He shrugged and we walked back to the cart. Then we busted out laughing
"what the heck that was so random" I giggled.
"It was funny though, did you see the look on that guys face" he chuckled.
"OK..ok I think we should get going It's almost 12"I implied.
"ok" he smiled.
We put the groceries in his car,and he started to pull out of the parking lot but stopped.
"I told you it'd be fun"he winked at
me.
"Yeah it was pretty fun" I attmented.
"Maybe tomorrow we could go to a movie or something?" He asked.
"Sounds cool" I smiled.
"Well I was actually implying it as a date" he replied.
"Oh" I had to think about that for a second, we've been friends for years and I like him but I don't want to jeopardize our friendship. Well I guess it could only get better so why not.
"A date sounds nice" I answered.
"Alright" he said with a big smile on his face.
Then he reached over and kissed me on the cheek and I smiled back at him. He then gazed back toward the road and that smile never left his face.
