The Rescuer's MC - Bk 2

Chapter 19 - Heading home

Thor and Hulk had to help load Monster into the ambulance, but once he was on his way to the hospital, in zip tie handcuffs, Rooster took off to go check on the men that had gone to the hospital but before he left, he told Prez "Go ahead and get on the road. So long as no one is seriously hurt, I'll catch up to you, probably at the next campsite tonight."

"Good deal. Thanks! See you this evening." Prez said and they parted ways. Prez and the rest of the men who had come down this morning headed back to the campsite to have breakfast and to get their final stuff ready to go. They were all surprised when they pulled in to see that Butcher and Margie had already left.

"They said the RV needed gas and they wanted to see if they could get the waste tank emptied. They left not long after you guys left. Wolf and Hope left with them. They were worried about missing their flight." Claire told them.

"Did Amanda go with them?" Prez asked.

"No. She is getting your stuff ready to go. She said she wanted to ride with her husband. If it gets to be too much, she'll ride the supplies van until you guys catch up with Butcher and Margie." Mindy said.

"I hope you guys still have some breakfast for us. I'm so hungry I could eat a bear right now." Prez said, "But first I want to talk to Amanda."

Prez walked over to their tent and found Amanda repacking her pack. She had already rolled up their sleeping bags and deflated the mattress.

"Hey, baby. Why didn't you leave with Butcher and the others?" Prez asked.

"Because I want to ride with you. The supplies van and Wizard are still here and I can ride with them if being on your bike gets to be too much. What happened in town?" Amanda asked.

Prez explained what had happened and they had a good laugh together when he explained about Monster's mother showing up and calling him Petey.

"Well, I'm going to get something to eat. I'm starving. As soon as I'm done, I'll come back and we can take the tent down and get it on the supply van and then we'll head out. Have you eaten yet?" Prez asked.

"I had some eggs and coffee but I could eat some more, especially Claire's bacon. I don't know what she does with it but that's the best bacon I've ever had." Amanda said.

They left the tent and walked back over to the table area, joining the rest of the men. They made their plates and sat down to eat. Everyone gobbled up Claire's breakfast, complimenting her on the bacon and sausage she had served.

"Claire, I wish you would come back with us and teach Butcher how to make it like that. It was delicious." Prez told her.

"Just tell him to sprinkle some fresh cracked pepper on the bacon and some brown sugar and sage on the sausage then cook it in pans in layers between sheets of foil. It's a trick I learned when I was working in a hotel kitchen in Vegas with a man named Andrew. He was an awesome chef. I wish I could have worked with him longer. He taught me so much in just a short amount of time."

They all ate their fill and then everyone went to pack up their tents and get them loaded up on the supplies van. By the time they were all loaded up and ready to go, Rooster and a bunch of the others that had been at the hospital pulled into the campsite. Almost everyone was shocked to see a woman riding behind Jailer.

Before everyone pulled out, Rooster introduced her as Tori and said that she was going to be traveling with them as an untouchable but did not identify her as Jailer's woman yet which left everyone very curious as to who she was and why she would be traveling with them back to Texas.
