Chapter 23- nightmares

Henry POV:

Me and Ray and Charlotte were all strapped to metal chairs when, Drex and twittler appeared. Drex was just as messed up as I left him. Drex had a gun.

"Well hart...this..." Drex gestured towards his cut up face bruised face. "isn't going to go by, without a price." Drex continued, walking towards Charlotte.

"Don't you touch her! Don't you dare!" I yell.

"Drex...no..." Ray whispers in horror as Drex aimed the gun at charlotte head.

"Kill me!" I yelled,

"Leave her and kill me!" I screamed.

"Henry, it's okay." she whispers before the sound of the gunshot fills the room, and she fall limp.

"NO!" I Scream as I thrash around in my seat.

"WHY! SHE DID NOTHING TO YOU. I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" I Scream, tears running down my cheeks. The girl I love. My best friend. Dead. Killed In front of me...

I screamed in rage, I screamed until something in my throat broke...

'GAH' I yell out, as I woke up.

I gasped and looked around. I was drenched with sweat, still tied to the chair, I felt hot tears run down my face uncontrollably. And the pain started again. I groaned as a wave of pain hit me like a bullet to the chest, and I can say that without any doubt, after all, I got shot a few hours ago. I looked around in panic till my eyes meet charlotte who was fast asleep, peacefully in the chair next to me, her chest moving up and down. I sighed in relief. 'It's okay, it just a nightmare. She alive' I thought. I look at ray who was staring at me.

"Are you okay Henry?" he asks, a concerned look on his face.

"Yah, I'm fine, jus' a nightmare." I say, my voice cracking mid-way.

"Want to talk about it? your shaking and your crying." He say.

"Yah, I do..."

"What happened?" He asked.

"Well..." I explained to Ray what I dreamt of and ended up sobbing when I finished.

"I pleaded... they killed 'er, and I begged 'em to kill me..."

"that's why..."

"Thatsh why, wha'?" I ask between

"You were talking in your sleep. That's part of the reason why I woke up. then you screamed." ray says, then says,

"it's going to be okay. Charlotte's alive, and that all that really matters. No one's going to die, alright, I promise." He says with a sympathetic smile. I nodded, and smiled as best as I could.

"Want to try and go back to sleep?" ray asks. I nod once more; I was pretty tired anyway.

"Thanksh Ray, you're a great friend. I don' know wha' I'd do without ya..." I say. He smiled and a few minutes later, I fell back into wonderland.

Rays POV

I watched as Henry fell asleep again. I felt so bad for him, not only was he surely in pain, but he was having nightmares. I wanted to go hug him, adding to  my craving to pound Drex and Twittler's faces. I wanted to expel them form exists, but that wasn't heroes code. I slowly started to doze off too, the last thing I saw before falling asleep were my two best friends, peacefully sleeping.
