Noah x Reader Short Story's (Re-writing!)

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 4

The contestants on Total Drama Island braced themselves for the dreaded "Awake-A-Thon" challenge. The teams, the Screaming Gophers and the Killer Bass, not aware of the exhausting night ahead.

The first part of the challenge was a twenty-kilometer race through the island woods. The competitors pushed themselves to their limits, the exhaustion evident on their faces. Noah and Y/N, once rivals, now found themselves working together for the sake of trying to keep up in the competition. After their bonfire confessions, their relationship had shifted into a strange camaraderie.

As the grueling race neared its end, Noah began to show signs of severe fatigue. He staggered, clutching his chest, and then fainted. Panic swept through the some team members as the contestants rushed to his side.

Owen, one of the Killer Bass, had been the first to reach him, scooping Noah up and carrying him to safety. The frantically trying to revive him, fanning him trying to get him to hang on.

Y/N, her heart racing, couldn't help but worry. "Is he okay?"

Owen, a bit panicked, replied, "I think he just pushed himself too hard in the race. He'll be fine, but he needs rest."

They laid Noah down, and the other campers continued the race to determine the winner. The Screaming Gophers ultimately won the race, hearing this Noah sprung back to life. However to the dismay of the Screaming Gophers that was only on part of the challenge.

Following the race, the exhausted campers moved on to the buffet that was set up. It was such a stark difference to the horrible gruel that they Norma had to eat every day. They gorged themselves on food, trying to regain their strength. Once the food was consumed, the challenge continued, and the exhausted contestants settled around a campfire, they once again got shocked as the challenge wasn't quite over. They all had to see who could stay up the longest, the camper all became determined to outlast the other team in the Awake-A-Thon.

A handful of campers , including Noah, Y/N, Gwen, and Duncan, gathered together to talk some others had succumbed to the fatigue and fallen asleep or are trying to innovate new ways of getting energy.

As the night wore on, the tension grew. The camaraderie between Noah and Y/N had deepened, marked by moments of understanding and shared smiles. Gwen and Duncan, also still awake, glanced at the two with knowing smirks.

Gwen chuckled, "I wonder how long this Awake-A-Thon will go."

Duncan, grumbling as he tried to stay awake, added, "This is ridiculous. They better give us a good reward for staying up all night."

gradually, more and more of the campers succumbed to exhaustion and fell asleep.

Noah and Y/N, along with Gwen and Duncan, were some of the last contestants still awake, their determination to win the challenge keeping them going. They huddled around the campfire, eyes heavy, but unwilling to give in.

Hours passed, and as the night grew darker, the contestants began to drift closer together. Gwen and Duncan, who had been teasing Noah and Y/N earlier, found themselves quietly observing the duo. Gwen shot a sly glance at Duncan.

"Those two have been getting closer," she whispered.

Duncan nodded, his voice low. "Yeah, it's like the exhaustion is making them drop their guard."

The campfire crackled, casting a flickering glow over the group. Noah and Y/N, their bodies leaning closer, were now nearly shoulder to shoulder.

Gwen nudged Duncan discreetly and muttered, "Look at them, getting all cozy. Who would've thought?"

Duncan chuckled, but the exhaustion in his voice was evident. "You know what they say, Gwen, strange things happen on Total Drama Island."

As more time passed, the fatigue finally took its toll. The exhaustion overwhelmed Noah and Y/N, causing them to slump closer together until their heads gently leaned against each other. They were both fast asleep, oblivious to the change in their proximity.

Gwen and Duncan exchanged surprised glances. The once fiery rivals were now peacefully asleep, their rivalry having softened into something more, something that defied explanation.

As the first rays of dawn broke through the sky, Noah and Y/N slowly began to stir. Their eyes fluttered open, and they found themselves in a compromising position, their lips pressed together in a half-conscious kiss.

The shock of the situation washed over them, and their eyes widened in a mixture of embarrassment and confusion. Gwen and Duncan, who had been awake, couldn't contain their laughter as they watched the duo's panicked reactions.

Gwen snickered, "Well, that's one way to wake up, Noah."

Duncan added with a grin, "Looks like our rivals finally found some common ground."

Noah and Y/N, blushing furiously, separated and scrambled to their feet. The once fiery competition between them had taken a strange turn, one that left them both flustered and puzzled.

As the laughter of their fellow campers filled the air, the events of the night had changed the dynamic between Noah and Y/N.
