LOKI'S PRONOUNCE IN THIS CHAPTER:
He/TheyNO ONE'S POV:
It was already night.
Loki was sleeping until Thor woke him up because the funeral started.
He didn't want to wake them up because they looked so peaceful, but he knew that Loki wanted to watch the whole thing."Hey, Lokes, wake up, it's starting!"
he said softly so he doesn't scare Loki.
"I wasn't sleeping,"
he replied with an offended but tired voice.
"Whatever you say,"
Thor said, knowing that Loki was too proud to admit that he fell asleep. They watched as the boat on which their mother was lying swam away.
The whole of Asgard was illuminated with lights.
It looked beautiful but sad at the same time.
They watched as the soul of their mother flew into the sky."She can finally rest with all the other warriors in Valhalla,"
said Thor.
But then he heard little sobs.
He looked over to his sibling and realized he was crying.
"It's ok, Lokes,"
he said while holding Loki in his arms.
"It's going to be ok."
Loki didn't answer; he just continued crying.
Thor couldn't believe that Loki,
the one who was currently crying in his arms,
is the same person who killed eighty people in two days."Do you think we can go back? I will bring you to my room; you don't have to sleep in the dungeons.
But could you do an illusion so no one notices you're gone? Can you do that?"
Thor asked after making sure Loki stopped crying.
He didn't know if Loki was strong enough to make an illusion right now,
but Loki just nodded. They got back the same way they got out.
Loki didn't say anything the whole way.
Thor tried to get them to talk,
but it didn't work.Thor's room had a big bed,
so he was sure they would both fit in it.
"Loki, you should really go to bed;
you look tired,"
Thor suggested.
Loki sighed, knowing that Thor was right.
He laid down and closed his eyes.
"Good night, Lokes.""Good night, Thor,"
Loki replied with a little tired voice.
Thor was relieved to hear his sibling talk again.THOR'S POV:
Loki was already sleeping,
but I couldn't stop thinking about the whole thing.
What happened to my brother?
What made him do all this?
And what are all these scars?
I looked over at Loki; his arms were full of fresh cuts,
but they had stopped bleeding.
But why were they bleeding in the first place?
No one could have gone into the cell and hurt him, right?
So who did it then?Hours passed,
and I tried to think of ways to help Loki,
but how could I if I don't know what's wrong?
What if it's all an act, a trick?
No, he wouldn't.
He would never do that when it's about our mother.
But suddenly, I heard Loki scream."No, don't! Stop!
It's... It's too hot!
Please, let me out of here!
Please."
I turned to Loki and tried to wake him up.
"Hey, Lokes, wake up, please.
It's just a dream,"
I said, feeling worried.NO ONE'S POV
Loki jumped up and started to hyperventilate immediately.
"Lokes, you're okay; it was just a dream.
You're here, safe with me.
Breathe, Loki, just breathe.""Help me, please,"
said Loki.
They sounded so helpless and exhausted.
"I will, Loki, I will, but you need to tell me what's wrong.""Everything...
But I am used to it."
That broke Thor's heart.
"What can I do to change that?
Can we talk, Lokes?
I am really worried,
but at the same time, I should be angry at you for attacking New York and killing a bunch of people."
Thor really wanted to make Loki feel okay again.
"It wasn't my... I didn't want..."
"Loki, tell me. I can handle it."
Loki took a deep breath.
