The next morning, we groggily walked down to the lobby, dragging our suitcases behind us. We all huddled around each other, trying to stay out of other people's way as much as possible while we waited for the others. Most of us were still half asleep while the rest were wired and ready for the flight home.

Once everyone made it down to the lobby, Coach gathered all of our attention. "I know we didn't get the outcome we wanted last night, but I want you all to know that I'm proud of each and every one of you. You fought hard and never gave up, and that's all I can ask for. We'll regroup and come back even stronger in our next game on Saturday. Shake it off and let's move on and get you guys home."

The flight was uneventful at first, as a lot of us were trying to catch up on some much-needed sleep. I gave up trying to sleep and tried to keep my head down to avoid having to talk to anyone, but Elisa wasn't having it. "So...."Elisa's voice brought me back to reality, and I looked over at her. She nudged me with a playful smile. "Come on, Jules. We've got a few hours on this flight. Let's make the most of it."

I managed a small smile in response. "Yeah, you're right. What do you have in mind?" Elisa pulled out her laptop. "Another movie marathon? It's the perfect distraction, and we could use some entertainment right now."  We scrolled through some of the movies that she had downloaded and settled on a mix of comedy and adventure movies.

The flight continued with laughter, shared snacks, and the occasional nap. I woke up to Sandy smacking my leg, and she started laughing as I realized I fell asleep with my head on Elisa's shoulder. "Sorry." "You're fine, don't worry about it." "You were out cold. We are landing in like ten minutes, so make sure you have everything gathered up." I nodded and Sandy turned back around in her seat.

Once we landed, the team and I collected our bags and made our way to the exit. The chilly air hit us as soon as we stepped out of the airport and we all parted ways, heading home. On the drive home I couldn't help but to think about how nervous I was to have to room with Elisa, but that whole rooming situation turned out to be okay and she might actually become my go to roommate instead of Sandy.
