Prologue

Standing in the back of the class room, and always so quiet. People always talking about me, treating me like dirt. When I was little my family and I were really poor. So, I didn't get what I wanted a lot of times.

"Mommy can I have that teddy bear? It's so beautiful! Can I please have it? Please....Please???"

"NO!" My mom answered "We don't have enough money."

"Please mommy I really want it..." I begged again

"I said No!" She then picked me up and put me in the cart so, I didn't get or look at anything and ask her for them. I hated getting put in the cart at stores. When we get home mom would always locked me in my room and leave me there. She pretends that I'm not there but, why is she doing this to me?

My Mom opened the door, she looked mad and had really baggy eyes. She pulled me out by my hair. I start crying, and she smacked me right in my face. She yelled at me.

"LOOK AT YOU! YOU'RE 6 YEARS OLD!" She picked up a cup of water and threw it down to the ground where it crashed to the ground. "YOU NEED TO CLEAN UP! CLEAN UP THAT MESS RIGHT NOW!"

I fill up with fear while crying like a baby. "Y-yes mom I will." I answered back.

"CALL ME MA'AM!" she demanded.

"Y-yes Ma'am!" I repeated I get on my knees and start cleaning up the glass. While I'm cleaning, OW!, I cut myself.

"What are you "Owing" about?" she asked.

"Nothing, ma'am." I hid my hand, until I got thrown back in my room. I started crying quietly while my hand starts to fill up with dripping blood. I'm scared to talk to my mom. She sends me to school then when I come home she makes me clean. I cry and she doesn't care. I learn to not get smack and hurt from her I just had to listen to madam. But, no mater what I did, OR how hard I try, to make her happy again. She never smiled once and I was always so scared to talk to anyone. I'm even very quiet at school.
