"Shion come back!" I called after him, jumping over to another roof. "Keep up," He chuckled jumping over to another building. Running faster after him, jumping to the next building, slipping backwards. "Ahhhh!" I screamed as I fell, crashing through a roof. "Hana!" Shion yelled down to me, while coming down the building.
"Are you okay?" A little girl questioned, while looking down at me. "Yeah, I'm fine sweetie," I stated giving a small smile. Slowly forcing myself to stand, holding in all the pained groans trying to escape from me. "You didn't get hurt when I fell, did you?" I questioned looking the girl over."No, I'm fine," She stated giving me a soft smile before running off.
"Hana! Are you okay?" Shion questioned running up to me. "Yeah," I groaned while holding on to him. "I'm taking you home," He stated while picking me up. Walking us down the street towards home only to be stopped by Smoky and the others. "Shion, what happened?" Smoky questioned looking me over, before looking over at the smashed roof.
"Hana fell while jumping to another roof. I wasn't close enough to catch her," He stated while staring at Smoky. "Take her to the doctor, and Takeshi go with them," Smoky ordered before walking passed us. Takeshi came over to us shaking his head before sighing. "You two always cause trouble," Takeshi stated walking ahead of us.
"Shion always wants to play tag across the rooftops," I remarked while looking around, as Shion walked us down the street. "It's not tag. I'm testing your speed, since you've slowed down a bit," Shion clarified while eyeing me. "I'll have to know when we aren't roof hopping, I'm faster than you," I huffed crossing my arms looking at the back of Takeshi, walking into the doctors.
"You're back," The old man remarked as Shion sat me down in a chair. "I'm accident proned," I deadpanned looking at the man. Getting a grunt in response as he started looking me over. He eyed me before grabbing a bandage wrap, signalling me to take my shirt off.
Sighing seeing the boys turn around as I did so. The doctor wrapping my left shoulder before signalling me to put my shirt back on. "Can I leave now?" I questioned handing him some money I had in my pocket. "In a moment," He huffed tapping some gauze to my forehead. "No jumping from buildings for a few days. You can go now," He huffed while taking the money from my hand.
Walking out with a huff as the other two trailed behind me. "I'll tell Smoky what the doctor said," Takeshi stated before running off. Kicking the dirt while Shion squeezed my shoulder. "Go with Takeshi," I stated while shaking his hand off.
"Hana," He started. "Don't!" I snapped cutting him off, before running down the street. Ignoring my pain as I kept running to my hiding spot. Looking around as I stopped infront of the abandoned factory, with a watch tower, making sure I wasn't followed.
Sighing as I went inside, climbing up into the watch tower. "At least I'm alone for now," I huffed laying down on my makeshift bed. Letting a groan out as I tossed a paperball between my hands getting lost in thought.
Smoky took me in to his family along with Shion and Takeshi a while ago. Yet all I can show for being in the Rude Boys is stitches and self harm. Why can't I be better? Why do I keep failing? Keep getting hurt and breaking everything I touch. Maybe I should leave, that way I don't cause anymore trouble for Smoky and the others.
I can find another place to call home. Maybe a train station, an abandoned factory away from here, or an abandoned house. I'm such a mess though, it's selfish of me to cause Smoky to worry, when he's sick like he is. Why does he even allow me to stay? Why not make me leave that way things will be worry free for everyone.
Coming out of my thoughts as I pulled out a small blade I had hidden. Sighing while pulling off my jacket, looking at my scared arms. Tears fell from my eyes as I ran the blade back and fourth across my arms. "They're better without me," I cried pressing the blade harder against my skin.
"No we aren't," A deep voiced rasped while taking my blade away. Looking up seeing the blurred figure of Smoky come into view. "Smoky," I croaked, while trying to dry my eyes. "We got worried, I got worried. It's been hours since you ran off, and no one could find you," He stated while staring at me.
Sighing he kneeled in front of me taking my arms, tying a cloth around them. "I'm sorry," I whispered while looking away from him. Feeling his hand under my chin, making me look at him. "No need to be sorry, just no more of this. You're important to me, to us. We're all here for you," He whispered looking into my eyes.
Nodding in return feeling more tears slip from my eyes. "No more crying," He whispered wiping the tears away. Standing up with him before throwing my arms around him. "I'll do better," I whispered before pulling away. "You're fine the way you are," He stated holding the door open for me.
Walking out climbing down the stairs with him trailing behind me. Going outside seeing the others standing there waiting for me. Dropping my head shifting akwardly between my feet, while playing with my hands. "Let's go home," Smoky rasped leading the way. Quickly following behind him, keeping my eyes glued to my feet.
"When you're healed you'll do the rounds with either Takeshi or I," Smoky stated as we kept walking. "Okay," I answered still keeping my head down. Once we got home, I ran into my room locking the door, ignoring the calls from my brother and the others.
Sighing while opening my window sitting in it with my feet dangling outside. Taking in the night air and sky as the house fell silent. Looking around seeing the streets empty, all becoming silent. Looking a little into the distance seeing a group of me dressed in black suits, entering a factory.
Without thinking I dropped from my window, groaning as I landed with a tuck and roll. Getting up sticking to the shadows as I quietly walked over to the factory. Peeking through a window seeing the group meeting with someone, causing me to raise my eyebrow.
Seeing one of the men grab a worker, hitting them on the side of the head, tossing them to the side. Feeling my blood boil as I climbed through a window, ducking behind some large barrowls.
