Sighing I laid in bed for hours unable to sleep. Finally giving up I got up quickly and quietly changing into my day clothes, before slipping out my window. Landing with a tuck and roll before pressing up against the building.
Scanning the roofs not seeing anyone before scanning along the streets seeing no one. Letting out a breath I stuck to the shadows while running towards my hideout. Hopefully I don't get in trouble for this.
Once I got to my hideout I went in deciding to do some training. Running about the factory running and jumping onto things. Scaling parts of the building while jumping to others.
"Ahhh," I screamed out as I started falling missing my target. Bracing myself for the impact of the ground only to feel something else under me. Opening my eyes seeing Smoky staring down at me with a relieved look.
"Smoky," I whispered staring up at him. Realizing I was being held by him I went to move from his arms, only for his grip to tighten on me. Without saying a word we walked us up into the watchtower. Laying me down on my makeshift bed while sitting next to me.
"So you sneak out to train by yourself?" He questioned eyeing me. "One of the things I do yeah. Most the time I just come here to clear my mind or when I can't sleep," I spoke looking up at him with a guilty look. "Why here and not somewhere closer to home?" He questioned softly.
"It's away from the house in a part of Nameless City most people never go to, that's why I picked it. The first time I ever disappeared I was here and no one found me until I came back. No one ever thinks of this place that's why I like it," I explained with a small smile.
"No more leaving alone," He spoke giving me a stern look. "Why not?" I questioned softly. "I can't lose you. I can't have something happen to you, I can't take that chance. I won't take that chance you're too important to me," He spoke taking my hand.
Turning my arm over pushing my sleeve up running his fingers gently over my cuts. Leaning down placing a gentle kiss on them before pulling my sleeve back down. "Don't do that anymore please, I can't lose you," He whispered looking up at me.
"What makes me so important?" I questioned eyeing him. "All of my family is important," He stated still holding my hand. "That's the only reason," I whispered more so to myself. "That's not the only reason," He spoke drawing my attention again.
Scrunching my eyebrows together while giving him a confused look. Sighing he gave me a small smile while tightening his hold on my hand. "I love you, Hana. Have for an awhile, that's why I treat you differently," He confessed while eyeing me.
Without thinking I sat up more, quickly leaning forward, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. At first he didn't kiss back causing me to regret doing this. As I went to pull away his hand held the back of my head pulling me closer.
Slowly the kiss deepened before we had to pull away to catch our breath. Resting my forehead against his keeping my eyes closed, too nervous to look at him. "Look at me," He whispered causing my eyes to flutter open.
"Promise you won't leave alone anymore. Take someone with you please, I can't lose you," He whispered holding the side of my face. "I promise," I whispered looking into his eyes. Smiling he leaned forward giving me another soft kiss before pulling away.
"You need to rest before the rounds start in the morning," He spoke gently pushing me to lay down. "Lay with me," I spoke giving him a pleading look. Sighing he crawled under the blanket pulling me closer to him as we laid together. Laying my head on his chest take in a deep breath.
His scent filling my nose causing me to smile. "You smell nice," I whispered earning a chuckle from him. "And what exactly do I smell like hmm?" He questioned. "Sandalwood and metal," I spoke looking up at him. Snickering he gave me a small smile while placing a kiss on my forehead.
Laying there with my eyes closed for a few moments listening to his heartbeat. "Why do you love me?" I questioned suddenly. "You're you. In my eyes you're perfect, beautiful, caring, protective, goofy, and like a kid with things that excite you. You're cute and lively. You're everything I'm not and more. You help keep this family together more than you know. I just love you and have for a while," He explained with gently rubbing my shoulder.
"I'm not perfect, far from it," I sighed opening my eyes. "You are to me," He whispered. Sighing I sat up staring down at my arms. "What is it?" He questioned sitting up wrapping an arm around me. "How can someone covered in scars be perfect?" I questioned.
"Because to me you're perfect, you're cute, you're beautiful, and I love you," He spoke tightening his hold on me. "I don't want to hurt you with how broken I am," I sighed trying to pull away from him. His grip only tightened on me causing me to look over at him.
In a quick motion I was pushed back onto the bed with him hovering over me, sitting on my legs. Leaning down he gave me a gentle kiss that seemed to be filled, with everything words couldn't convey. "I love you, even if you are broken. I am too, we can be broken together," He whispered looking into my eyes.
My eyes growing glossy as I looked up into his eyes. Giving a small smile as my lips slightly parted. His breath tickling my nose as we laid there staring into each other. Our eyes conveying everything we didn't dare say.
"Say you love me too," He spoke giving me a pleading look. Leaning up I gave him another kiss before pulling away. "I love you too," I whispered as small tears slipped from me. Smiling down at me he leaned down kissing my tears away, before kissing my lips.
Pulling away he laid down next to me pulling me partly on top of him. His arms wrapping around me tightly as my head rested on his chest. "I'll love you Hana. Rest I'll be here when you wake up," He whispered. "I love you too Smoky," I whispered closing my eyes. Listening to his heartbeat as it lulled me to sleep.
