i wake up hearing people talking and the smell off food. i open my eyes and see ki and ny playing with liah and notti and ddot are in the kitchen sitting on the island chatting it up with my mom. i sigh and sit up.
"sleeping beauty is awake everyone!" ki says smiling. i laugh and get up. "lani are u gonna introduce me to your friends orr what?" my mom asks. "well ma the other little boy u are chatting it up with is ddot, and the two girls in the living room are kiara and niyah." i say walking to my room to brush my teeth n wash my face. "well hi ddot" i hear my mom say. "hi ms. woodssss" ddot says dragging out the s. i brush my teeth n go back downstairs to the living room. dd's up finally.

"when did u come home?" i said putting a grape in my mouth from the fruit plate she had out. "girl let me tell u." she says putting the spatula down and leaning against the counter. "fucking hectic, the boss was late had to sit in the waiting area for a HOUR." she said rolling her eyes. "they should have never done u like that ms. woods.." ddot says smiling at her. i could tell he's tryna be funny. "call me maya. anyways lani, i had like 3 interviews like a hour apart so when i finished one i had like 20 minutes to sit and chill in the car till i had to leave again." she said rubbing her temples.
