Bad Dream

"Cora-San!!", Law gasped, waking up from his sleep. His breathing was heavy and he was covered in sweat. "Fuck...that dream again", he groans, grabbing at his head.

You were awoken by his sudden outburst. "What's the matter, baby?", you ask worried.

Law doesn't answer and tears start streaming down his face.
You pull him towards you and run your fingers through his hair. You attempt to get his attention but he buries himself in your chest and starts bawling like a baby.

"Shh, it's okay", you try to reassure him without asking what's running through his head.

Law looks at you with tearful eyes and hugs you tighter. "That dream...it came back"
He felt himself tearing up again.
You cradle him and kiss his forehead.
Law wipes his red eyes and puts his face back into your chest. You sandwich his face between your hands.

"Look at me", you softly demand.

He slowly lifts his head and looks into your eyes. "What is it?"

"Were you having flashbacks again?", you ask.

"No...it was something even worse..."

"Like?"

Law stayed silent for a little.

"I lost you..."

He holds his head down and sheds more tears. You sit up and hold Law in your arms.

"Would you ever leave me, (Y/N)?"

You look into his eyes.

"Never"

He attempts to smile but his lips quiver.

You kiss his forehead and stroke his hair until he falls asleep.
