Another day done; I think to myself as I let out a sigh. I wander through the streets wondering when something exciting will happen. I have no one here and a boring job with very little social interactions. I feel trapped in this small village. It's the same thing day after day, nothing new ever seems to happen. I need excitement, I need more than what's here! I think to myself.

The closer I get to home, the more the dark clouds seem to loom over the forest edge. I approach my small cottage near the forest edge, admiring the flowers of teal, black, red, and yellow that line the cobblestone fence. They seem darker today and the aroma of flowers and rain seems stronger. How strange I think, upon entering my little abode. I am met with the sight of the many books that line the bookshelves along the wall and the sound of music still playing from the record player in the corner. I head for the coffee machine and begin to make a cup of coffee. While it brews, I look for my favourite book.

Looking over each shelf of the bookshelves that line the wall, I finally find it and return to the kitchen to finish making my coffee. Once it's finished, I proceed outside to my favourite beanbag. It is situated under the shelter of the white pergola. It is lit by fairy lights that are wrapped around each beam under the roof. Around the side waterfall lights hang down halfway, allowing a good view of the garden and surrounding forest. A railing is around the edge, with 5 steps leading down to the garden. It is here I find comfort, curled up with a good book, warm blanket and coffee under the small twinkling lights dangling from the roof as it begins to rain. As I begin to warm up under the blanket, I take a long sip of coffee before starting to indulge in the book. I continue taking sips of coffee in between reading until it is finished. Once it is finished, I sink deeper into the comfort of the beanbag and continue reading.
