"This story never gets boring" I say to myself as I wish to relate to its excitement one day. I continue reading.

As I am about halfway through the book, I hear a mighty roar come from the forest. I choose not to move but to wait to see if anything follows it. After waiting a few minutes, I hear what sounds to be the slamming of my back door. I drop the book and rush cautiously straight to the door, picking up the baseball bat that leans against the wall, next to the door. Cautiously stepping inside, I peak round each corner as I venture further into the house. Upon finding nothing, not even evidence of someone being inside, I lock all the doors and grab a drink of water. It's so quiet you could hear a pin drop, as I sip my water and stare out at the forest edge.

Clink! I hear and jump around, a piece of paper under a magnet on the ground is what catches my eye. I pick it up and turn it over, reading the other side.

"You can trust me, I am not a foe!"

As soon as I've read the note and look up, I notice a dark figure appear at the edge of the yard where the forest begins. Surrounding the figure, I notice a teal aura that surrounds them. With my interest peaked and heart racing wildly, I grab the bat and unlock the door. As I approach the figure, my eyes watching his every move. They turn and starts walking further into the woods. Without saying anything I follow them more until I lose sight of them. The further I walk the colder and darker it gets. As I keep walking, unsure of where the mysterious figure went I hear whistling, almost beckoning me towards it. As I pear around a tree, I see a boy, around my age, surrounded by the same teal aura as the figure near my house.

"Ah Delilah, we finally meet!" the boy says.

Shakily I respond, "How do you know my name? Who are you?"

He laughs before responding with, "My dear Delilah, everyone knows about you. You are meant to return to The Realm and save it!"
