"Dara?"

"Yeah?" I turned to my best friend who was ordering ice cream.

"Strawberry cheesecake as usual?"

I nodded eagerly and smiled at her.

Minzy has been there for me through it all. Literally. She was there when mom left, she was there when I lost myself and most importantly, she was there when... I lost him.

I cringed at the thought of him.

It's been two years now, I shouldn't be dwelling in the past.

"What's up tiger, what's on your mind?" Minzy handed me my ice cream and sat down.

"You," I smiled, "thank you."

"For the ice cream? no problem!" She rolled her eyes.

"No," I chuckled, "for everything."

"You're welcome." She winked and it was my turn to roll my eyes.

This girl.

"So," she placed her ice cream on the table before crossing her arms and giving me a serious look, "are we really going to do this? audition for YG?"

"Do you want to?"

"Nae, but I'm scared I'm not cut out for this." She gave me a worried look.

"Stop," I rolled my eyes and put my ice cream down too, "you know you are so talented... please believe in yourself."

She stared at me for a minute before sighing.

"Because I believe in you." I gave her my hopeful eyes.

"Ya! stop using your puppy dog eyes." She rolled her eyes but did not hide her smile.

That's my best friend.

2:03pm

"Omo~ I have to head home now," Minzy pouted, "mother needs me to help move her things today, mianhe dara-ah."

"oh it's okay," I waved my hand, pretending to shoo her away, "go! I'll see you tomorrow."

"Alright alright." She laughed before grabbing her keys.

I waved at her as she left the ice cream parlor and disappeared into the parking lot.

I sighed and stared at my melted ice cream and thought about the audition again;

Is this really a good idea?

What if I'M not good enough?

I'm sure Minzy is.

But me?

I really don't know.

Min Ji sent you a message.

I yawned and grabbed my phone from my bedside table.

Whoever it is, I swear to god...

"Aish." I groaned as the brightness of my screen meet my eyes causing them to shut immediately.

After a few seconds, my eyes finally adjust to the light and I was able to read the message.

Min Ji : Let's audition :)

I chuckled and placed my phone back down, putting it on silent this time.

Oh Min Ji, you pick really odd times to decide.
