I woke up on my bed. I sat up. I quickly felt light headed and layed back down, a hand on my head. I waited for it to pass and got up, then my stomach growled. I realized i was starving. I don't really feel hungry, but my stomach noises beg to differ. I walked down stairs, thinking everything from yesterday was a dream. I got to the kitchen and opened the fridge. The first thing i see is fruit salad. Perfect. I grabbed it and put it on the kitchen counter and started to pig out. That's when i heard foot steps. "Your alarm went off an hour ago, i really don't get how you can sleep through it without getting annoyed and throwing that this out of the window." Someone said I turned around to see Leena. "I usually don't. I guess i was tired." I shrugged. I froze, last night wasn't a dream? Damn.
Leena noticed I was starring into space. "No, last night wasn't a dream." She sighed. I snapped out of it and looked at her and glared. "Don't give me that look, I didn't force you into the deal! That was your falt." She gave me an 'as if' look. "What do i do now that im a 'cupid' or whatever...?" I raised my right eyebrow. "Well first you'll need arrows. Come with me, I'll help you get some." She told me and walked right out of the door and down the street. I followed her for about 2hours, that's right. We walked for 2 hours. Fun. I my legs were sore and tired. I was not in the best mood when we were in the middle of some random field that was empty. She stopped walking. "We're here." She said and reached into her pocket. Leena pulled out blood red key with hearts on it. She put it into the air where a lock would be and twisted. A golden door with red, pink, black and white hearts. She reached out and grabbed the door handle, she opened the door and it was like there was an invisible factory that you could see or get into unless you had that key. "I know what you are thinking, it's not invisible, its just in a different realm. This key opens a portal anywhere in certain places. You must never bring anyone here unless they are one of you, a cupid. Got it?" She asked to make sure. I laughed. She glared at me "seriously, you could be killed for doing that." She said seriously. I looked at her shocked. "I thought i was immoral?!" I asked. "Well not completely, other cupids can still kill you, but it takes alot to do so." She shrugged. "Oh." i said. "C'mon." She grabbed my hand and we stepped in, the door closed when she took the key out. As she led me to who knows where, we passed people/cupids practicing shooting arrows, changeing colors of the tips of arrows with their minds, and even some fight training. Cupids have enemies too, believe it or not. They are called heartbreakers, they are the fights, and break ups in the relationships we start, thats why we need to know how to fight. Cupids and heartbreakers are in a constant battle to wipe out eachother. The world without love would be chaos, but without hate and drama, everything would be too good to be true. Earth needs the balance.~about a year later~
I rolled over and covered my shoulder with my blanket, of course i had to try and go back to sleep...i mean i still had two minutes left till i had to wake up.
I started to drift off to sleep. I woke up about an hour later. "VALERIE! Get the hell up! You have people to shoot in the ass with arrows!" She yelled up the stairs, only half joking. I stood up and walked over to my bow. As soon a i tuched it, my outfit changed into my Cupid outfit, it's assigned. I have to wear it. (Btw, her outfit is in the pic)
"Im up, I'm up." I came down the stairs and walk over to Leena holding my hald out. She put the key in my hand. I opened the portal and walked through. I walked over to the arrows section and took as many as i could fit into my arrow rest. And opened my book that tells me who's not in love. This book tells me which people are in love with who, and which people aren't in love. I target the people who aren't in love and make them fall in love with someone. I opened to the last page of my book and looked at the first name I spotted, "Killian Carlyle, 19, single, handsome." Every name had a face next to the information, and let me tell you- this one was hotter than hell itself. He has the whole 'tall, dark, cocky and handsome' look written all over him. I have to be careful not to be seen though, once i read my targets name out of the book, i become visible to only that person and other Cupids + magical beings. Also, i gain the knolage of his location. I closed the book and teleported myself to his location, which so happens to be a bar. Great. He's asking the bartender for the strongest drink he can make, and he's got three girls all over him. He's acting like they aren't even there, but he's got a smirk on his face he knows they are trying to get his attention indirectly. All i could see was his back, I haven't even seen his face yet. I decided to wait untill he was sober, so I uncloaked myself and sat down in a stool at the bar a couple seats down from where he was sitting. About an hour passed and i was so bored. He stood up from his chair and shook off the one girl that was still there. She rolled her eyes and walked away. Killian walked toward the exit but turned around to look at me, our eyes met for a second, he quickly looked away and pushed open the door for outside. He didn't look back. That was the first time I'd personally seen his face. He was so hot! One look from him was like getting a gift from god.
