My Opinion on the PinkPop Article About The Script

After reading the execrable piece of journalism about the performance of The Script I have my own comment to add to that.
Here it goes:

1) Quote: latest excuse for auto fellatio called The Script

Wow, whoever wrote this I must say, you are either playing too much with yourself, have a low self esteem or must be very frustrated. Or all three. To begin with The Script are different than Snow Patrol and U2. Every band has its unique traits and The Script manage to beat any possible band or artist on the musical industry mainly because they are very open, very friendly and make each and everyone of their fans feel special.

They do live-streams of their rehearsals, take time to reply their fans and don't have a PR army of people to write some pre made reply to any question everyone asks. They take time to notice everyone, and share their thoughts and feelings, encouraging everyone to fulfil their dreams. I don't think other artists take that much of their free time to interact with people as the lads do.

2) Quote: "nothing hazardous, nothing sexual"

While other artist may use skimpy outfits on stage, weird costumes to show off as much skin as possible, because let's face it: sex sells, The Script have managed the last seven( YES SEVEN) years to stay away from scandals, and sell millions of records without making sexual references. Guess there are still millions of people who still have the classic conception that you don't have to do naked pictures to still make good music. And if you don't like that idea, well, the Internet is filled with pornography. (have fun and don't forget to use a lube and some tissues after you finish)

There have been so many artists you don't know anything about now, just because they went for the whole "let's get naked for fame" theme. That means that although "sex sells", the society we live in still has some firm conceptions about moral values.

3)Superheroes, Hall of Fame, Nothing

Well, each album and each song of the band is a story. A story inspired from their life and their experience.( the advantage of wearing your heart on your sleeve-dunno what this expression means, look it up a dictionary, but only after you used the tissues after watching porn) A story that you can relate at some point. I personally like a song with a story, not three words as a first verse an "oohh" and an "ahh" as a chorus and that sequence repeated for the whole duration of a song.

I like the message that each song transmits. Whereas as "Superheroes"and "Hall of Fame" say that you don't need to be famous to do something notable, that you have to fight for your dreams to come true, songs like, "Nothing", "Breakeven", "Flares", discuss the subject of love and loss, overcoming the pain of losing someone you love(if neither of those songs brings you up memories, that my friend, means you never know what love is- you have probably watched too many porn in that case)

4) The Moment

Not being able to attend Pinkpop I watched the live broadcast the band made. The moment that was created that night was fantastic. Even the people who weren't fans of the band enjoyed the moment to the fullest, dancing and jumping around, being entertained. Also the fans brought green balloons and waved them through the entire performance. If you didn't see that, I'm sorry you have to go at Specsavers and have your glasses checked.

5) Daniel O'Donoghue's speech

Now the highlight of the evening was Danny, the lead singer's speech. "Let's make a moment, something you can't download, something you can't read about, something you have to say I've been there. Stop living in the past and start living the present.", I think those are his exact words.

Since I see you like living in the past a lot I can understand why you don't understand what he said. Don't worry I will explain it to you.

If you live in the past, you will never evolve as a person, hence the fact you are probably still watching porn after reading this reply. Living in the present, creating new opportunities for yourself, that is what life is all about. If you live your life not taking advantage of the chances given to you, you will probably get to the age of 80 and say, "I should've taken that opportunity when I had the chance.", you will have a life filled with regrets and a house full of tissues(if you get what I mean).

Each and everyone of the men from The Script has a key philosophy, some rules in their life that made them who they are today. Their life experience, the fact that they are still humble, even after all the success they have, the way they act, nothing fancy, no charades, that is what makes them genuine people.

They don't hide behind pompous words, they don't do fancy cars, expensive watches and they definitely don't play a role. With The Script, what you see is what you get. You get down to earth people, humble and fun, a good company to be with!
