As if my mouth tasted the ashes of my own past, the flames that continued to occur within my throat made the words rough and unable to move forward.

It wasn't until I felt the strong grip of that warmth that continued to evade my soul, it was enough to put me at ease but wasn't enough to make the situation calmer.

"Why? Cat got your tongue, Young Lady Festin?" The old man's voice, whose name I couldn't remember, was deep and dark, enough to rule the entire place. I could see how the corners of his mouth went back to the way a devil would smile.

His eyes began to narrow with the rays of the sun showing how his shadows moved.

With every breath I've been taking, my sight was only focused on the old man that I never knew would cost so many seconds to waste.

"I------"

"Why don't you ask me instead, Gludius? Aren't you even aware of my existence?" Crane asked the old man and then I remembered, his name was Gludius, but then, just as dark as it sounded, was also his aura if he ever had.

"Young master, I could ask the same thing of you but you know, I prefer if it would be the one that asked me the information give the same to me since she already held the truth in her hands..." Crane then looked at the black envelope in my hands and the stamp that came from the masked shadow earlier.

But then, I guess, I wasn't a stranger to magic since everyone saw that these two came to my hands with light.

"And don't say that your friend isn't even a magic user, like us, Young Master Crane? When the light that carried the two of my treasures came to her hands, it didn't seem like she was surprised at all..." followed by his deep dark voice was a monstrous and thunderous laughter.

Crane whose eyes were narrowed and focused on the old man, immediately looked at me with wide eyes I could only sigh.

"Lady Festin, did you know about magic at all?" Crane's words wavered, his eyes that showed some gentleness within my soul suddenly became vague and as if his soul was forced to close and his eyebrows began to knit in a way that I never imagined before.

As I wanted to assure him of the things that I wanted to say, I should seek his forgiveness for what I might do later on.

Because Oratio's words were embedded in my mind and if I wouldn't be able to heed his advice, the warning of that crimsonness of my past would repeat once more.

Then a sudden flash of memories came gushing through my mind bringing me to that moment, a moment where I swore to our agreement.

"Is that all?" the voice that lingered like wind that could have stayed on the leaves to make them dance, swirled to caress the drum within my chest.

"If that's for now, would you tell me immediately?"

"Oho, don't make it like it's already my obligation, Young Lady," his hands went through the air like it's making me halt what I might have said later on.

He waved his pointing finger in the air, accompanied by the crumpling of his mouth and eyes that were forced to shut as if he had something going on inside of his mind.

"Like I've said earlier, why don't I teach you first, only if my conditions were met would I speak of the things you have asked me... Don't forget, I'm giving you a chance right now, is that all you wanted to know from me?"
