"Kacchan!!"

"Deku wait-"

"KACCHAN-"

What was happening? How did it all go so wrong? Deku is...Deku IS-

"Deku...You're gonna be fine, you're going to be fine!"

Izuku cried bitter tears, laying on the ground in his own pool of blood while he was stuck under some rubble. "You promised me that I'd be safe with you!"

"I-I know Deku b-"

"You PROMISED!" Izuku wailed. His insides burned. Everything was excruciating. He sobbed but his breathing was shortened. He couldn't see his mom, or All Might or...wait Kacchan? Kacchan??

Katsuki desperately attempted to get rid of the block in front of him that was crushing Deku. But it wouldn't budge. It wasn't even that big. There was no reason he couldn't move it. He's strong enough, he can do this on his own!

Katsuki gripped his own hair and paced back and forth, cursing left and right. "Where are the pros? WHERE ARE THE PROS?" He spread his hands to use his quirk as he screamed as loudly as he could into oblivion. This empty street, no one was around. Other people were trapped but their cries were drowned out by Izuku's. All Katsuki could hear was Deku's cry. He needed saving. Katsuki couldn't do it. Something was trying to stop him.

He screamed again angrily and turned around to face Deku, now kneeling again to try to remove the rubble. not even the fragments were budging. Were they glued?!?! Katsuki choked on his tears. "Deku I'm sorry! I-im sorry..." his face scrunched and his vision was blurry. He couldn't even see where he was grabbing through the thick tears that forced their way out.

Deku cried more but each breath got quieter and quieter. Katsuki's eyes widened and he stood up to see his face. Deku was in so much pain. No longer sobbing but trying to breathe. "N-no! Stay with me nerd!!" He climbed atop the rubble, not caring that Deku was under him. He cupped the freckled face in his hands and Katsuki's tears made their way down his cheeks, landing on Deku's destroyed and bloodied shirt.

Izuku finally opened his eyes and stared at the red ones a few inches in front of him. He cried more. Tears running down the sides of his face and overlapping the strong fingers that caressed it.
"K-Kacch..."

"No! Stay with me! We're partners!! Deku!! Deku!!"

He shook Izuku's face but the green haired boy's eyes closed no matter what the blond did. Katsuki's breath hitched. He stared at the boy under him, holding his still face that was now limp. Katsuki gulped.
"D-Deku?...now's not the time to sleep..."

He let go and Izuku's head drooped to the side on its own. Katsuki was about to lose it. "You bastard." He growled. Tears overflowing. "You're supposed to be All Might's successor...the next SYMBOL OF PEACE!" He cried. He hit the concrete beneath his fists furiously. "HOW COULD YOU GIVE UP? YOU NEVER GIVE UP! YOU WERE THE ONLY ONE WHO UNDERSTOOD THAT! NOW GET UP! WAKE UP!"

Katsuki yelled powerfully. His voice booming the empty street they were on. Everyone else's cries didn't compare to his own. He made it known where he was. He grabbed Izuku's face again and his voice broke. "De...ku...." He quivered. Their noses touched but Deku's was slightly cold. Katsuki closed his eyes tightly. Now knowing what happened. His breath was shortened and he didn't know what to do anymore...

He sat there atop the chunk of concrete, holding his childhood friend's tear soaked face.

Katsuki wailed directly into his face. "IZUKU!!!!!!"

Izuku woke up hearing something. He tiredly opened his eyes to see Kacchan laying to his right, face scrunched up and mumbling something. The attic was still dark but lighter. It was probably 5am or so. With curious eyes he observed the sleeping boy. He seemed distressed. "D..." he mumbled.
