After left from Gabriel's Hideout. Jade leads the way back to the place that she's parked the motorcycle. With Clarke between her and Murphy watching their backs.
Clarke seamlessly plays Josephine at all times. She didn't seem to mind anything of it, but her heart was in chaos. She had to go back and find a way to help her people.
Suddenly, Jade signaled them to stop and crouched down. Reinforcements of the children of Gabriel are traveled through. But their hiding fails as Murphy is caught.
Jade immediately began firing at her enemies. She also ordered Murphy to fire cover. She turned to Clarke. Looking at her with a tense and serious expression.
"You should go ahead first. Josephine, it will be safer. The bike was about fifteen meters from here. You slowly sneaked out while we fired cover. You remember the way, right?"
Clarke showed a dissatisfied and annoyed expression on her face. She said "You think I need a babysitter to lead me to the bike? The forest here is like my second home, duh,"
"I apologize for my mistake,"
She lowered her head in guilt. Clarke didn't want to be sarcastic. But she had to. She turned to look at Murphy hiding behind a tree and shooting at his enemies. For him now. A person besides him was a murderer who took his friend away. Clarke smiled in her heart. Although he caused most of the trouble but deep down in his heart was not as harsh as his actions.
"Well, don't die before you become immortal, John. See ya," Clarke spoke with the arrogant and sassy voice typical of Josephine. Of course he didn't answer anything, just sighed in frustration and returned to cover fire.
Clarke cautiously sneaked to the side of their cover when given the chance. Until she finally left the place where the clash was taking place. She returned to normal walking and thinking about the way to save her people before reaching to village.
Unconsciously, black blood flowed from her nose. She thought it might be a side effect after getting rid of Josephine. Before long, the headache took over. Her ears were so loud that she collapsed and squeezed her temple with her left hand violently.
She tried to massage her temples to relieve her headache. Finally, it gradually disappeared after twenty minutes. She shook her head from her dizziness, but a familiar voice suddenly sounded.
"Nice try, Wanheda,"
Clarke couldn't believe her eyes. But Josephine Lightbourne was standing in front of her now. In the latest outfit she encountered in her own Nevermind.
Josephine was curling her hair with her right hand like always. Her expression was arrogant and a smile lifted at the corners of her mouth."What! How?"
Josephine crouched down to be able to talk on the same position as Clarke.
"Thanks for strange code that buried in your Nevermind. I discovered it at first, but I didn't care. Too bad that I used it at the last chance and hiding myself in it,"
Clarke used the back of her hand to wipe off the nosebleed and stood up. She didn't even pay attention to Josephine.
"And you will kill us both,"
"Oh, don't worry. Strange code area is wide enough for the second mind. I must live in your body for a while," Josephine immediately responded and followed Clarke.
Thoughts raced into her head. It's A.L.I.E. it must be her. She might have taken advantage of the moment Clarke entered the City of Light and implanted the code into her mind. Maybe to do something but failed. And now it's causing trouble for her.
