“Hey everyone! Aubrey here! As some of you may know, I’m moving with Cassie! It is true, we are relocating from Dallas, Texas and we are moving to the San Antonio area! Um, this video is basically our moving cycle… So enjoy!”  I turn my camera off and pack it into my bag. The bag in hand, I walk into the living room and set it on the couch. “Hey, Cassie? Do you know when your cousin will be here with the moving van?”

“Yeah, in just a bit. Will you help me with last minute packing?” Cassie, my best friend shouts from her room. Her Grandma recently has been diagnosed with breast cancer, so I decided to support her decision of moving to tend for her by moving with her. I shuffle into her room and grab things off her shelf to hand to her. After about thirty minutes of this, we are finished.

“God, when the heck will he be here?” I complain as we gather our last few belongings. “He is taking forever. It’s already 8 am! It’ll take us five hours to get th--.”

Just then, the doorbell rang.  We invited her cousin in and moved furniture and boxes into the van. I drive my car and Cassie drives hers while her cousin takes the responsibility of driving the van.

Taking brakes every couple hours, I film constantly. And after what seems like forever, we arrive at our new house. As we unload everything, I realize that this street looks very familiar. I didn’t choose the house, Cassie’s Grandma owns it and is letting us stay here.  “Cassie? Is this the street that JC Caylen lives on?”

She looks around, and finally comes up to a conclusion that yes, JC Caylen actually does live here. At least, we think. “Holy crap! This house is so pretty! Granna really does have nice taste, huh?”

“C’mon chica, let’s get someone to show us around. We’ve been here for three days just unpacking. Wanna?” Cassie’s green eyes looked at me, pleadingly. I could tell she was getting stir-crazy.  “Please…?” she stuck out her bottom lip; she had mastered that “puppy dog” look.

“Ugh. You are so needy. Let’s ask… JC and Ricardo?” Cassie knew I fancied JC, I mean that beanie? That smile? Please. Hnnnnnnnnnng.

“Oh, JC and Ricardo… Mhmm, okay.” Grinning, she walked out.

I brush my rib-length light brown hair and straighten it. I pull my bangs out of my eyes and start on my makeup. I put concealer on and eyeliner on my top lids. It makes my gray eyes look less dull.  Some mascara and tinted lip balm and there we go. Less crap and more… erm… organized crap.

I throw on my native print tee, and some skinny jeans to go with it. My favorite pair of grey Toms and a matching beanie just completed me.

I walk into the living area and pull out my laptop. Editing my latest video, I tried to be patient, but Cassie was taking forever (as usual).  “Cassie! They are going to be here any minute!” I looked to her room, and the door was open. I set down my laptop and walk in. “Cassie…? What’s wrong?” She was sitting on her bed, messing with the sleeves of her jacket, a sure sign she was doing some heavy thinking.

“My grandma has to get some treatment today. She asked me to accompany her.” She looked at me, eyes full of sadness. “I can’t get too caught up in this. Granna needs help, and that’s why I came. I nearly forgot.”

“Aww, Cass, don’t worry. I don’t mind!” I gave her a sad smile, and reassured that I really want her to look after her grandma. As she drove off, she waved. “Don’t forget to tell her I said hi!!”

“Hey, picking up Ricardo now. On my way, Aussie ;)”  JC and I did a collab a while back. It’s been a while since I’ve seen him and Ricardo!

“Aussie? Got a nick name already? Wow, you missed me a lot. J”

“Ehh, I guess. I mean you can’t just bake the best cake ever and expect to be forgotten. I’m here!”

I hop into the car and give the guys an awkward hug from inside the car.               “Aww, I’ve missed you dorks! So what are we gonna do?”

“Um, how about ice cream and a movie?” Ricardo suggested.

“Yeah, I heard The Call was pretty good.” JC said. Looking at me, he added, “Unless it’s too scary for you?” He teased.

“Beat you to it. Saw it last week with Cassie.”

“Speaking of her,” Ricardo said, focused on the road, “Where is she? Did her grandma need help?” When he saw my nod, he replied with a small frown. “Tell her we said that we miss her!”

We arrived to the ice cream parlor, and received our cones. We sat outside, talking about what movie to watch.  Finally, we decided that we’d just rent a movie.

“Now where do we go after this then?” JC said, as he finished up his cone.

“Well, my house could still use some unpacking.” I said, after wiping my face.

“I’m afraid that KROV will be wanting my assistance then…” Ricardo looked up cheekily. “That is such an excuse.”

“Ugh, if you guys down want to unpack then drop me off,” Between laughs, I added, “Unless You wanna see a girl decide how to organize her kitchen.”

“I don’t have anything better to do. But I do need to record my O2L video sometime today.”  JC looked at me, smiling.

“Let’s be off, then,” Ricardo grabbed JC’s keys, and threw them at him, “To the car!”
