I crawled into my bed, pulling the comforter up around my neck and closed my eyes. Tonight was amazing; I didn’t want it to end. Finally enough, I fell asleep.
A loud sound came through the door, waking me up. Cassie came into the living room, holding a bunch of bags with her. She set them down by her door, and then moved into the kitchen, where she made some cereal. The time on the stove read 8:30.
“Cass…” I called out from my bed, too lazy to get up.
“What, you stupid bum?” She plopped herself right on the side of my bed, her cereal still in hand.
“Your grandmother, how is she?”
“She’s ehh. I guess she’s okay, I mean,” She took a bite of cereal, “She could be doing better? You’re date with JC?”
My cheeks turned red. I explained it was amazing and about the terrible waitress.
“Ahh… So you loooooove him?”
“What?!?! No! I never said… Okay. I do.” Just then my phone vibrated.
“Hey, Aussie, wanna go to the park with me?”
“Sure, JC. I’ll be ready in an hour?”
“Text when you’re done. ;)”
“Speaking of, JC and I are going to the park now!”
I hopped up and took a short shower. I brushed my hair out, letting the natural waves kick in. Still in my towel, I got dressed. I picked out a white shirt and jean shorts. I wore my usual Toms wore a leather belt. I did my regular makeup routine, and went to the kitchen. I ate breakfast and checked my social media.
“I’m ready! J”
“Awesome, I’ll walk you there J” Just five minutes later, JC arrived at my door.
“Woah! Cassie! Nice to see you!” JC hugged Cassie, and they said their hellos and goodbyes.
JC and I walked down the street, holding hands and telling puns the entire way there.
“JC, thanks for offering this. This will be my only sunlight for the rest of the year!” I joked.
“Haha! Here, follow me!” He led me a bridge, and sat under it. He pulled me down to sit next to him, and sat directly in front of him. “Aubrey, I want you to be my girlfriend.” I was still holding my hand, and pulled it to his lips where he gave it a kiss.
“Yes! Yes!” I jumped up, hitting my head on the bridge. “Owww…”
JC laughed, stood up, and pulled me into a hug. He kissed me, and then I felt a sharp pain in my neck. I pushed JC away, and felt my neck. Two small holes on the side of it, blood pouring out of them.
“You idiot! I’m still hungry!” He grabbed at me, his lips has blood on them. My blood. He pulled me closer, sinking his fangs deeper into my neck.
“JC… You… You’re a… a… vampire…”
