Opal's POV:
My mum and dad had recently just gotten me a body guard,it really annoyed me that they don't think I can't protect myself,like huh?! I don't need some guy to protect me from whatever life throws at me I can defend myself! Stupid if you tell me,waste of money when I can just protect myself,extremely stupid I groan slightly
After awhile I hear my dad shout upstairs for me I put the book that I was reading away and walk downstairs to find my dad to see whatever he wanted
"Dad?" I say wondering where he is the house was pretty big so it was easy to lose where people were and was extremely lonely whenever my mum or dad were at work,I didn't have many friends at all due to me being quite shy and kept to myself a lot,and the friends I did have they were all a bit fake and two faced,they would say they were my bestfriend one minute then the next there talking nonsense about me to others and making up fake rumours about me to the school which upsets me but oh well its life
"Opal,honey,we're in here." I hear my dad call from the living room wait we're? My mums at work so whos here? I sigh I walk into the living room were my dad and whoever 'they' were
"Dad what did you want-" my eyes widened slightly with a slight blush its a hot day. My eyes landed onto a girl,she was very pretty and quite masculine she was probably about a year or two older than myself
"Opal meet Ezra,she's going to be your bodyguard that I and your mother were telling you about."
Ezra... that's her name...I look at her, and she just smiles at me softly
"But she's a girl?" I say confused to my dad
"Yes,she may be a girl but she can protect you,she's very skilled she was the best out of the hundreds of people who applied,just because she's a female doesn't mean she can't protect you Ezra."
"Okay..erm can I go now..?" I ask my dad my heart was beating quite fast for some reason and it was bugging me I wanted to go back to my room
"No,I want you to show Ezra to her room she'll be living here now and also attending your school so your safe at all times,so show her to her room it's the guest room two doors down from your room,sweetheart."
"Okay dad..come on I guess Ezra." I say while she follows behind me
"So I'm going to be seeing you a lot then..at school my own house basically everywhere?" I say to her while walking up the stairs
"Mhm that's right,miss." My heart skips a beat for some reason her voice was extremely soft It didn't match her look she had long hair with a few scars on her face I just nod and show her the room she'll be staying in
"It's this one Ezra..just knock on my door if you need anything it's the one two doors away"
"Alright thank you,your very kind Opal" god damn..what is happening why is she so..so she just so...ugh! I can't stand her
"Y-yeah of course.." I say walking back to my room quickly then shutting my door as my heart beats to hell..am I dying or something..?! Why am I being like this..
I groan and flop onto my bed exhausted
I'm probably just sick right..? Yeah..yeah! Of course I've got a cold that's it! That's why it feels so hot and my heart is beating so damn much,so damn much.
