Scrying Mirror — In the simplest terms, scrying is peering into a surface, usually one imbued with mystical energy, to see images or symbols that you then interpret meaning from. Traditionally, scrying is depicted as a form of fortune-telling, a way to peer beyond the present into the future to see what lies ahead.
In this story I am kind of reversing it and having showing truth of what really happened. This story remains canon with The Untamed at Nightless City up until Wei Wuxian was to get shot by an arrow. Something else happens instead.

Wei Wuxian sat perched on the very top of what used to be Wen Ruohan's home, looking down at everyone. He huffed a laugh at their utterly pathetic selves, calling themselves righteous, Nie Mingjue, Lan Xichen, Jiang Cheng, all of them were total hypocrites... and cowards who should know what their silence has done.
Jin Guangshan stood higher than everyone else, speaking to the crowd, "Wen Qing and Wen Ning were bandit chieftains of the Wen Clan," He talked with his grimy voice, accepting the box of their cremains. Wei Wuxian held his breath, "I'll scatter their dust!" Jin Guangshan yelled before destroying the box, scattering Wei Qing and Wei Ning's ashes as if they were nothing.
Wei Wuxian whimpered, looking away as he began to cry, using all his strength to stay silent, "Jiejie..." He whimpered, "A-Ning...
"Great!"
"Great!"
"Great!"
"Great!"
Wei Wuxian's jaw trembled as he swallowed sobs, letting out harsh breaths here and there as he tried to calm down. Jin Guangshan grinned, beginning to speak from his high pedestal once more, "Tonight it was the two bandit chieftains here," He gestured to the floor, "Whose cremains were scattered, tomorrow! The remaining Wen-dogs, and finally, the Yiling Patriarch, Wei Wuxian!"
Wei Wuxian clenched his fists, wiping his cheeks to hide evidence of weakness, before beginning to laugh loudly, cheekily, as if you could! Once everyone was alerted to his presence, he heard the strings of bows stretching as the metal of swords unsheathing, followed not soon after by Jin Guangshan's voice. Oh, how he hated that sound.
"Wei Wuxian!" He called, "How dare you show up here!!"
Wei Wuxian smirked, turning to glare at him, "Why can't I be here?" He asked calmly, "Do not forget, back in the Sunshot Campaign, I fought 5000 men alone, what is three thousand more?"
Alone. He'd gotten so used to being alone.
"Besides," He continued, "My presence is what you want, isn't it? Save your efforts in finding my den and burn me tomorrow!"
"ARROGANT LOUT!" Nie Mingiue screamed out, making him smile bitterly.
"Red-Blade-Master," Wei Wuxian grinned, "I've always been arrogant like this," Wei Wuxian then turned back to Jin Guangshan, his gaze
darkening, "Clan-Leader-Jin, let me ask you a question, who said when Wen Qing and Wen Ning went to Carp Tower for punishment, that they would be executed? And who said the other Wen's would be burnt? And me?"
Jin Guangshan spoke rubbish again, "Those are two different things!" He yelled, "In the assault in Qiongqi way, you slaughtered over 1000 disciples of the Jin clan!...That's one thing! You letting Wen Ning commit several murders is another!"
Wei Wuxian shook his head, "Clan-Leader-Jin, about that attack in Qiongqi way, who was the target?" He asked, "Whose death was wanted? Who plotted that? Who fell into that ambush? Ultimately, who was the one that PROVOKED me?!" He growled, taking a breath before sitting back, "Now tell me, how can I control Wen Ning to commit murders in Carp Tower from miles away?"
