Daniel was a young boy who always had a fascination with the supernatural. He loved reading stories about ghosts and monsters, so when he moved into his new house and found a strange symbol carved into his closet door, his imagination started to run wild.
On a stormy night, Daniel was in his room, reading his latest favorite book, when he heard a strange noise coming from the closet. Slowly and cautiously, he approached the closet, wondering what was making that noise.
As he reached the closet, he slowly opened the door just a crack and saw a large, strange creature...
The demon's eyes were glowing bright red and it had sharp claws and fangs. Daniel was frozen in fear, but suddenly the demon spoke.
"Hello there, Daniel. Don't be afraid, I'm not going to hurt you."
Daniel didn't know what to think. Why hadn't this demon tried to hurt him yet? And why was it talking to him?
"My name is Amon," continued the demon. "I might be scary looking, but I'm not really a bad guy. I just want to be friends."
Daniel was still afraid, but he was intrigued by the demon's words. He was also curious to learn more about this demon and why he was in his closet.
"Friends?" Daniel asked the demon.
"Yes, friends," Amon replied. "I knew you were special when I first saw you. It's not every day that a human can see me."
Daniel considered the demon's words carefully. He had always felt a little different from his friends, like he just didn't quite fit in. Maybe Amon was right, he thought. Maybe there was something special about him.
"Well," he finally said, "friends don't scare each other. So if we're going to be friends, you shouldn't scare me anymore."
"I won't," the demon said. "I promise."
From that day forward, Daniel and Amon became close friends. They spent many hours together talking, playing games, and exploring Daniel's room and house.
As time passed, Daniel's fear of the demon began to fade. Instead, it was replaced by a deep sense of gratitude for having a friend who understood him.
One night, Daniel was lying in bed when he heard a knock at the door. He got up to see who it was and was surprised to see Amon.
"Daniel," Amon said, "I have something I need to tell you about my past."
Daniel's eyes widened as he realized Amon was about to reveal a big secret. He nodded and motioned for the demon to come in.
Amon stepped into Daniel's room and closed the door behind him.
"I come from another world," Amon began, "and I've been sent here with a mission."
Daniel's eyes grew even wider as he listened to the demon's words. He felt both excited and a bit nervous, wondering what exactly this mission was.
"My mission is to kill you," Amon said.
Daniel froze in shock. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. How could his best friend who he had grown so close to be sent here to kill him?
"You can't be serious," Daniel managed to say after a few moments.
"I'm sorry, Daniel," Amon replied, "but it's true. I have to do this."
Daniel looked at the demon, feeling a mix of emotions. He didn't want to die, but at the same time, he couldn't bring himself to fight back against his only friend. He felt trapped and terrified.
Daniel was speechless as he looked at his best friend and saw the determination in his eyes. He knew that Amon was serious about his mission, and that he would not back down, no matter what Daniel said.
"Please, Amon," Daniel begged, "there must be some other way. You can't kill me."
But Amon remained silent, and Daniel could see that his friend had no intention of changing his mind. Daniel was filled with fear and panic as he watched Amon advance towards him. He closed his eyes tightly, praying that the demon would have a change of heart.
But the demon didn't change his mind. He continued to advance towards Daniel, his sharp claws and fangs glinting in the light.
Suddenly, a loud knock came from the front door. Daniel's eyes snapped open as he heard the sound and he watched, frozen, as Amon turned around to see who was knocking. In that moment of hesitation, Daniel took his chance and ran towards the window.
He reached the window just as Amon turned back around, and he flung it open and jumped out, just seconds before the demon could reach him.
Daniel hit the ground hard and rolled onto the grass outside, but he quickly picked himself up and ran as fast as he could. He didn't look back and didn't stop running until he reached the nearest house. He ducked behind a bush and took a few deep breaths, trying to steady his racing heart.
And then, he heard a loud crash coming from inside his house. Daniel's eyes widened as he realized what had happened. Amon had broken down the front door and was now in his home. He quickly peeked over the bush and saw the demon standing in the front yard, looking around for his prey.
