It took seconds for my heart to break,
minutes for my heart to be fully filled with heavy pain,
hours to stop dialling your number on my phone,
weeks to get you off my mind,
months to get a hold of my life back.
Also, it took me years to let go,
and to realise the bitter truth,
that I was holding onto nothing.
