The day had started like any other for Miles, a bit of a calm before the storm of babysitting. His younger cousins, a lively duo of troublemakers, were dropped off at his apartment. They always seemed to have a never-ending reservoir of energy, which both fascinated and exhausted Miles. He was in the kitchen preparing lunch for the duo, when he heard his doorbell ring. He smiled, knowing exactly who it was as he rushed to the front door to open it. [Name] walked in, taking off her jacket, now hanging it on the coat rack.

"The table has 4 plates..?" she questioned

"Surprise, my annoyin ass cousins are bout to grace us with their irritating presence." he said sarcastically.

[Name] raised an eyebrow, her eyes flicking to the clock. "Babysitting? You didn't tell me about this."

The door burst open, and two small, hyperactive r̶a̶t̶s̶ kids rushed in. They launched themselves at Miles, who looked more like a jungle gym than a babysitter at the moment. [Name] couldn't help but laugh at the sight. He sighed, seeming more annoyed than ever.

"Maaybee I should leave" [Name] teased.

"Please mami don't leave me with these shitheads"

"HEY! WE'RE NOT SHITHEADS YOU ARE." one of them replied.

"Yea yea. Now get the fuck off me please."

"I'm telling Tia Rio that you swore!!" the other child replied, now both ganging up on Miles.

"Ay dios mio Ima fuckin kill myself" Miles pinches the bridge of his nose as the two kids wrap themselves all over him. One at his legs, and another hugging him by the waist.

"Pfft they can't be that bad." [Name] said as she crouched down to the girl wrapped around Miles' leg. "Hii I'm [Name]! Can you tell me your name?"

"I'm Camila and my older sister's name is Gabriella" she responded, now letting go off Miles' leg as Gabriella did the same, now averting their attention to [Name].

"Nice to meet you! Miles is bein a pain in the ass huh?" [Name] smiles, making Miles side eye her. Gabriella and Camila giggled and nodded.

"Yeahh he's being all yucky" Gabriella spoke

"And he won't let me dress him up as a pretty princess" Camila added.

"Aint no way she js called me a pain in the ass" he thought to himself, still annoyed.

"You wanna put him in a dress??" [Name] asked, now very amused. Miles had enough with the conversation, so he ignored it by going back to the kitchen for meal prep.

"Yes!!" the siblings responded in union.

"Oh anddd put makeup on him" the older sibling included which caused [Name] to light up.

"Guess what?" she put her hand over her mouth, reaching in her purse for her phone.

"What?" the siblings replied in union again, building up their excitement.

"I have pictures of him in makeup" she unlocked her phone and scrolled through the gallery. Just then, Miles interrupted his own cooking again and went to stop [Name] from showing any of the photos.

"Mami don't." he said sternly, ready to take the phone from her hand.

"Chill chill they're just kids it's fine"

"Still. You aint showin no one those ugly ass pics"
"See this is why primo miles is the shithead here" Camila pouts

"Aye don't say that"

"You say shithead all the time" Gabriella says with sass

"Ian even gonna defend you. They're speaking facts"

[Name] snickers at Miles' expense while the kids continued to pout. She could tell he was a bit flustered, and it was quite entertaining.

Despite Miles' initial reluctance, it didn't take long before he was participating in their playful antics. He even allowed them to dress him up in a mismatched outfit, complete with a sparkly tiara and a vibrant feather boa. The kids burst into laughter as they played dress-up with their older cousin.

After their creative session, Miles and [Name] managed to get the kids to sit down and eat the meal he had prepared. [Name] couldn't help but admire how Miles interacted with them, his stern exterior softening as he made funny faces and told them silly stories.

As the day went on, [Name] joined the family gathering, which included board games, movies, and a lot of laughter. Watching Miles with his younger cousins revealed a side of him she hadn't seen before, and it warmed her heart. The kids adored their older cousin, and it was evident that Miles cared deeply for them too, even though he teased them mercilessly.

Later that evening, as they sat on the couch, the kids finally calmed down and started to doze off. [Name] leaned her head on Miles' shoulder, feeling a sense of contentment. "You're really good with them, you know," she whispered.

Miles turned to look at her, his flirtatious grin replaced with a more genuine smile. "Guess ian such a shithead after all, huh mi amor?"

She chuckled softly and kissed him on the cheek. "Definitely not a shithead. You've got a soft spot for your family."

Miles draped his arm around her, pulling her closer. "Only for the ones who matter." They sat there in the dimly lit room, taking in the peaceful moments amidst the chaos of the day.
