i might just text you, turn your phone over

my text go to your screen, you know better than that  "

alana lay in her bed, facing her bedroom ceiling. she was bored. and annoyed and everything. she had just gotten back from college. she was majoring in photography and she loved most of it, except some of the people - she hated some people, y'know?

her phone suddenly pinged and she sighed. it could've been one of two people;
1. danny bixler - situationship for almost two years - too scared to confront either of their real feelings to one another.
2. georgie houston - he was a classmate, he was kinda desperate for a relationship - had a pretty scary crush on ana.
she groaned, rolling her eyes as she picked up her phone, the texts contact read,
'georgie'
she sighed, not knowing if she was relieved or not that it wasn't danny.

'hey, wanna hang out?'
alana pursed her lips together. she was bored, and annoyed, she shrugged.
'sure'
she simply typed, she didn't really like georgie all that much but, oh well, right?

georgie picked her up outside her house in his truck - disgusting, alana thought. she wore a black floral dress that went to her knees and beaten up converse, she got in the back as georgie smiled at her.

"hi, alana, i'm glad we could hang out." he said politely as ana shut the car door behind her.
"oh, uh, me, too." she forced a smile as she pulled her seatbelt on.

"so, uh, where are we going?" ana asked, fidgeting with her phone case for the money she stashed there.
"it's some nightclub place that's not really a nightclub. just for kids our age, y'know?" he elaborated as ana furrowed her eyebrows, her eyes scanning over her more... casual outfit.
"oh, i know where you're talking about." she nodded, pulling a 20 out the back of her phone case and putting it into her bra.

georgie nodded to following people as the two entered whatever... establishment georgie had brought them to. alana had heard danny speak of it once or twice but she had never actually came. the pair sat down, across from one another as alana looked around kind of awkwardly.

"do you want a drink? something to eat?" georgie asked as alana sat back in her seat.
"could i get a cola? thanks," she smiled, trying to get the money from her bra before georgie stopped her.
"please, alana. it's on me," he smiled, which alana reciprocated as he went to get their drinks.

alana brushed her eyes over the people, she thought she saw a familiar face but by the time she passed it, she couldn't remember whose face it was and she couldn't find it again. she shrugged simply, looking down to her phone until georgie returned with drinks.

"thank you."

the two sat and chatted and laughed and joked. alana may have said she didn't even like georgie but he was actually pretty sweet, and kind of cool, too. even though he had a truck.

alana sat back, bringing the straw from her drink to her mouth, laughing as she looked up, her smile quickly fading as she made eye-contact with danny from across the room.
she widened her eyes the slightest bit as he sat with his friends. she knew them - two of his high school friends, finn and brent. danny saw alana's... disheveled state and smirked, readjusting in his seat as he nodded his head. in a state of nervousness, she nodded back, prompting him to widen his smirk. the two usually went on dates with other people but hell, that was for shock value! the whole jealousy thing they had going on. danny goes on a date with a girl and makes sure ana knows, then by the end of the night, danny and ana are in one of the others bed, ana flirts with some guy, calls danny up when she gets the ick.

still, they're never expecting to see each other!

"alana?" georgie furrowed his eyebrows, snapping her out of it, forcing a smile as she turned back to georgie, she glanced over georgie's shoulder once more time to get a look at danny, who turned back to his friends, still with that stupid smirk on his face.

"sorry - thought i saw someone," she quickly shook her head.
"don't worry about it. so, i was saying, maybe we could do this again sometime?" georgie requested as alana felt her phone suddenly chime, she nodded along to what georgie was saying as she opened her phone.
danny.
of course it was.

'not having any fun?'
he had texted, alana fought the urge to roll her eyes as she quickly responded to what georgie was saying before typing back.
'i'm having fun danny'
she sent back, looking back up to georgie.

"sorry, it was my sister. just asking where i was." alana quickly made up as georgie shrugged.
"don't worry about it. my siblings are like that, too." he smiled again.
alana's phone went again. she groaned, quickly forcing a smile to georgie again.
"that's my sister again."

she opened the message from danny, again, but this time it was a picture of alana laying on danny's bed. half-naked. she widened her eyes and she could've jumped three feet into the air at the sight of it. she looked up to danny with a grimacing scowl on her face but he just sat her, his tongue poking from the inside of his cheek as he chuckled.

"you okay?" georgie knitted his eyebrows together.
"yeah, just my sister, madelyn, acting weird." she "played off" again. georgie quickly looked over his shoulder before turning back to alana, giving her a tight-lipped smile.

georgie and alana's night progressed, she tried to rid the feeling that danny had over her. that picture. it wasn't she was uncomfortable with the picture of the fact danny had it. she hated saying it but it kind of... did things to her. she found herself squirming in her seat with no control over it and danny's eyes watching her.

that was until danny stood up.

alana's face drained of colour as danny began walking her and georgie's way. she would've ended him then herself if he did anything stupid.

danny walked past their table, pretending to slip and his hand landing on alana's shoulder.
"hey, man!" georgie shooed him with his hand as danny stood, leaning against ana's seat.
"sorry about that, guys. i'm just... the floors slippy," he smirked, turning to walk away, but not before he shed ana one more look.

asshole.
