song — when you sleep, my bloody valentine

"   it's late night thursday, know that you heard me well, two can play at that game    "

alana was genuinely so embarrassed. she felt like she'd fucked it with georgie and danny... well, danny being danny, he obviously sent pictures of her just to spite her. god, she could kill him!

alana's phone went.

danny
come over

alana rolled her eyes, opening the message but not replying, leaving him on read.

danny
  please? i have pizza

alana audibly scoffed at the text.

me
treating me dan? where's this money coming from?

danny
  don't question me ana
(Read 22:38)
  well?
(Read 22:45)
  annnnnnnnaaaaaaa

me
shut up, i'm on my way

alana squinted her eyes as she approached danny's apartment complex - it was old and... kind of unsettling. really unsettling, actually. everyone kind of thought it was haunted.

"you showed up!" alana looked up, danny hanging out his bedroom window as she looked up, flipping him off as she walked over to the buzzer.

she sat on her phone until danny manually opened the front doors for her to enter the actual complex.
"okay, let's sneak you in." he said, wrapping an arm around her shoulder softly. "how are you?" he almost jokingly asked as ana scoffed lightly.
"great," she gave him a sarcastic smile as he tilted his head.

"where's your man tonight?" he questioned as they stepped into the elevator. ana shrugged.
"not sure. studying, probably," she guessed as danny leaned against the wall of the elevator.
"and what does he think you're doin'?" he smirked. ana knew he was always proud when he could get her over to him, for some reason.

"danny, i'm here as a friend." she firmly stated.

"that's always what you say." danny gave her a smirk, leaning forward with his hands gripping the elevator bar behind him. ana gave him a side glance.
"i'm serious, danny. a friend." she emphasised.
"don't spell it out for me, ana. come on," he nodded with his head as ana sighed, following danny out the old elevator and up the hall.

very slowly, danny opened the front door, cringing as he looked then nodded, holding out his hand for ana to take. she was far too nervous so instead she just followed him inside, prompting him to roll his eyes.

danny and ana sat beside one another, kissing, talking... kissing whilst music played as an almost background ambience for them.

"turn the music down," ana said with a roll of her eyes as danny narrowed his in her direction.
"what for?" he tilted his head to the side slightly.
"my mom lives next door, she's probably sleeping, right now!" ana scoffed. her parents went through a pretty messy divorce a few years back - ana and her half-sister madelyn had ended up living with their dad, roger, and ana's mother, jodi stayed right next door to danny and his family... which came as awkward as thing could get when they first bumped into each other after meeting for the first time.

"speaking of which, here's my dad callin' me, right now." ana sighed, pushing danny off of her and turning down his music to answer her phone.
"hi, dad," ana said into her phone, folding her arms as danny watched from his bed.

danny watched as ana's face contorted into one of a somewhat disgust.
"dad, i've gone for like, half an hour, i'll be- dad!" ana scoffed, bringing the phone away from her ear. "obviously he hung up on me. madelyn's coming to get me." she said, slipping her phone back into her pocket as danny stood up.

"what? seriously? you've barely even been here." danny threw his head back as he approached her.
"i know, but my dads being a dick." she grabbed her hoodie from danny's bed, shrugging it on.

"okay, fine, i guess you can go home. call me when you get home or something." he exaggerated as ana looked up at him, leaning up to kiss him, pulling away as both the teenagers cheeks tinted pink.

"i'll walk you down." danny smirked.

wiping her lips, she climbed into madelyn's car. madelyn gave her that all-knowing big sister look, shaking her head whilst laughing.
"seriously, ana?"
"what?"
"making out with your boyfriend before getting into my car? jesus," she widened her eyes, jokingly scoffing as ana gave her an offended look - even though it was true.

"he's not my boyfriend," she simply answered as madelyn shrugged, pulling away from the alley she parked in since she couldn't get into the car park for the apartment complex.
"i don't care what he is, you still just made out with him before getting in here." madelyn gave her little sister a look.

"oh, there he is. hey, dan," she somewhat whisper-yelled, waving at him as she drove past, prompting both danny and ana to both cover their faces, embarrassed.
