Dorm 87. This was going to be my new room for the rest of the year. I walked in with my family and to a surprise no one else was here. I walked over to the bed on the right side and placed my stuff on top of it. I sighed and turned to my parents.
"Well......Do you want to get something to eat or should we leave now?" My dad said looking around the room.
"I have time for some food" I said smiling and we walked out of the room together. My room was small. There was two beds one on the right and on the left a big window in the middle of the back wall and a desk at each end of the beds and that was about it. It was definitely something I had to get used to. We headed down the road to the Nando's we saw earlier and grabbed some lunch.
"How are you feeling?" My mom asked.
"Nervous......definitely"
"Just be yourself..." My Mom said looking directly into my eyes.
"College are the best times of your life" My Father said. I smiled
"I wonder why" I said looking from my Dad then to my mom.
I looked at Joe, Tom and Abby and they were just fascinated by what the restaurant looked like it was so cute. They did understand where I was going and for how long but they seemed to not care. Mom, Dad and I were just talking about normal college stuff while everyone else at the table just sat at the table eating their food confused. After finishing our food we walked back to my dorm and their was my roommate. She stood at her bed unpacking her things with her shiny blond hair tied up in a high ponytail. I walked in. She turned around and Smiled.
"Hi I'm Kate" I said putting my hand out for her to shake.
"Hi Kate I'm Ella" She said walking towards me and shaking my hand.
"Ella this is my Family ....Mom ,Dad and this is Abby she is the youngest and Tom and Joe are twins" I pointed to everyone as I introduced her to them. She seemed so nice. But you never assume anything when your parents are with you.
"Well we better be going" My Mom said with her eyes watering. Ella turned around and finished unpacking.
"Bye Mom" I said with tears filling up in my eyes but I didn't let them fall. I hugged tightly and the same with my Dad
"Tom You be good ok Mom and Dad have no other help but yours ok" I him and Joe together and then I hugged Abby tightly "You be good" I whispered in her ear and she giggled. I stood up and sighed
"By Guys" I said.
"Bye sweetie" My Dad hugged me again and kissed my forehead. They then left me in my room with my roommate.
