Maybe Next Semester // Ashton Irwin

Awkward

We all sat at the table looking at Ashton either in shock or wide eyed. I was neither one of them. I just froze looking at him. Yes, I was in shock but I was a calm shock.

"What?" Ashton said looking at everyone as if nothing had happened.

"Girlfriend?" Calum questioned him looking at him still in shock. Everyone had just frozen. Ashton sighed.

"Yeah" He said calmly.  Everyone sighed and returned to what they were doing.

"Can I talk to you?" I said getting up from my seat and Ashton did the same and followed me to the back of the Diner.

"What was that?" I questioned him with my arms crossed.

"I know I haven't asked you out but I was going to at the bowling ally but then everyone was talking to you and I got Nervous......and" He stopped talking when I pressed my Lips against his, he was talking to fast and I wanted him to shut up.

"I get it" I said after we kissed.

"But I have more questions for you to answer later" I said and walked away biting my lip.

"Hey Guys we better go" I said standing at the end of the table.  

"Yeah Ok" Ashton said walking behind me. Everyone got up from their seats and paid for their food and walked out to Ashton's car. I sat in the front as he was dropping me off first. He started the engine and headed in the direction of my house.

The car was full of noise. You had Luke and Ella behind Ashton and I and then behind Luke and Ella you had Calum and Michael. I looked behind me and Saw Luke and Ella Moving closer towards each other as if they were about to kiss but seriously who would kiss at the back of a car, I know I wouldn't. Then Calum coughed and they moved slightly away from each other, Luke still had his arm around her and they were both taking and smiling.

Ashton Pulled up to my house and we both got out. He walked me up to my door and faced me.

He pulled me closer to him and he placed his hands above my bum.

"About those Questions." I started.

"Yes" He said and he bit his lip.

"I think I'm going to have to ask them tomorrow" I said. We were inches away and his hot breath wasn't even pushing against my lips it was more flowing we were that close. We were just about to kiss when the front door opened.  I looked at my mom who stood at the door shocked.

"Ok I'll see you tomorrow" Ashton said as we broke apart and he left.

"Mom" I said shocked. She opened the door further and I walked in and up to my room. I honestly didn't want to talk to her about what just happened it's already to awkward. I sat on my bed in my pyjamas for a while until I got a phone call from Ashton.

"Hello" I said into the phone.

"Hey Kate" Ashton softly said into the phone.

"What are the questions you have for me?" He asked in a question like tone in his voice.

"Ok.....why did you always say Remember this when I was at your house?" This was one Question I wanted the answer to and I have a feeling I will not be getting the answer tonight.

"That is one Question I will not tell you the Answer to" He said in a teasing voice.

"Why"

"I don't want to tell you the answer now...It's to early to tell you the answer" He said with a teasing tone in his voice.

"I'm not even going to try and get it out of you.....How long have you liked me?" I asked

"Since the moment I saw you" He said in a serious voice. I could feel myself blush even though he wasn't here.

"Ok can I ask more questions tomorrow because the ones I have I think are better asked and answered in person" I explained and that's when everything went to silent. I looked at my phone and it was dead. I groaned because I wanted to say good night to him. God Dammit Kate.....I got up and plugged my phone in and fell into a deep sleep that was badly needed.
