We ate and then left the diner.  I could not eat as much as I expected though. Sometimes when I get too hungry, I end up eating in a minimal quantity.

We went back to the car and  Damian continued to drive.

"You barely ate," he admitted.
" Yeah, I was just full already after drinking the smoothie." I responded.

" Oh okay, I get it, lemme guess you were already satisfied when you saw the CEO" he teased me.

I didn't reply but rolled my eyes at him.
  "So how was your day too?" I finally asked him. " I just stayed home, watching TV and some other boring stuff, you can name it." He chuckled and I did the same.

" I think you can go back to New York, I'll be fine here." I replied honestly to him.

" Yeah, I planned on leaving tomorrow morning, " he also added.

There was silence in the car till we reached home and we all went separate ways. I quickly went to my room. I took a cold bath and clothed myself with oversized pajamas.

I fell on my bed to sleep but I couldn't. I thought I was tired but I couldn't even close my eyes either.

I had nothing else to do so I picked up my phone,went to Instagram and started stalking Kieran.

I don't know but I've never been this way towards any one before. This feeling was genuine. But I don't want to get hurt at the end. It'll ruin me for sure.

I also don't want anything to be awkward between us since we'll still be working together.

Today was a rough day at work. (Sighs deeply) I can't wait to get home.

(Phone rings)
" Good evening sir," Magdalene spoke.
" Good evening" I greeted back.
What does she want from me this late?

" Sir, I just forward to you the forms of the applicant. You have not opened it so I thought you did not see it as well." She explained.

Magdalene is the best person I've ever worked with. She's also smart, protective and sometimes acts like a mother to me.

"Sorry about that,I was just busy, by the way I'm still at work, I'll check on that later on." I added.

" I thought you left, sometimes you don't have to bombard yourself with work, you know we will do it yet you always do it by yourself."

" You know I don't trust anyone here, don't you remember what happened to my father when he was in charge?"

" Yes, I know, I'm sorry if it made you upset." She admitted.

" It's fine you don't have to bother." I told her.

She worries a lot about me but I don't think she understands the reason why I work so hard. SEF company would not have been how it is today if not for hard work.

" And last thing, please hire that lady,
We really need a secretary, don't you think?"

" I'll see about that Magdalene" I said and hung up.

(Sighs deeply)

I sat there quietly when memories of what happened today ran through my head.

I'm I really a bad person? Even someone who doesn't work here doubts me.

In this world,it's very difficult to see your enemies so it's better you keep away from human socialization.

This is always the principle I work with.If I become too relaxed with my workers, they will say I am weak and vice versa.

So for me, I choose to be strict to people and they will respect you.
All these were what dad taught me about life. We don't live to impress others but our own selves.

I realized I had zoned out in my thoughts so slap myself to gain consciousness.

I picked up my phone to check out what Magdalene had sent. It sure was a filled form.

I scanned through it quickly. I finally decided to go home but I'll have to go to the gym first.

I drove to the gym and exercised for a while. I drove back home, took a bath and went straight to bed.
