(A week later)

5:18 p.m

"I made it before the deadline" Peter exhales exhaustedly. After making sure that the assignment is uploaded completely, he shut down his laptop and stretches his body by lifting both his arms.

"Time to rest" the lad lets out a huge yawn, so good that he got teary-eyed. Lately, he has been having trouble sleeping. It has also affected his performance at school. He grew a habit of dozing off in classes and that earns some scolding from his lecturers but luckily his grades didn't drop.

Peter gets up from the chair and makes his way to the bed sluggishly. Just as he was about to flop onto it his spidey senses tingled.

He immediately goes to his closet and puts on his DIY sleeveless hoodie over his long sleeves t-shirt. This is why he prefers long sleeves instead of short sleeves. He then puts on his gloves and grabs his face mask before leaping out the window.

The lad swings swiftly left and right, keeping himself as high as possible. As he feels his spidey senses growing stronger, he knew he was getting closer to the danger. He puts on his face mask midair and lands down on the ground.

It seems like Peter came across a smoking flat surrounded by the residents. There are also firefighters in front of them. They extended their arms and kept them at the safe distance.

Suddenly, a guy started making chaos "MY DAUGHTER! SHE'S STILL INSIDE!" Two firefighters were holding him back by arms "LET ME GO! I HAVE TO SAVE HER! LET ME GOOO!!" At this point, he is screaming his lungs out and tears of despair fall down his eyes. The firefighters try their best to reason with him by saying that it's dangerous and there's nothing they can do since the smoke is getting thicker every second.

"Stand back, everyone!" the lad shoots a string toward the burning flat and cannonballs himself through one of the windows.

*CRASH*

"Ouch, ouch, ouch. Bad move, Pete!" he winces in pain from the cuts caused by the stray shards of the window all over his body.

The smoke surrounding Peter in the building is too thick, obstructing his view and the heat emitting from inside is almost unbearable for him, considering the lad is a human-spider mutate he doesn't do well in the heat. He held his breath, closed his eyes, and activate his spidey sense to detect the girl.

'There!' Peter spots her instantly and rushes downstairs. As he got to the lowest floor, he found the girl laying down unconscious on the ground.

He dash towards her and as the lad was about to pick the girl up the flat started to collapse, too rapidly for him to make a run. His body acted before he could think, choosing to uphold the building with the girl safely shield under him.

Peter grunts loudly, making sure to keep his arms up, or else he and the girl will be squashed by the crumbling flat. Being on the lowest ground of the 18 floors building makes him uphold a weight that no ordinary man possibly could.

"C'mon, Spiderman! *groans* You got this!" the lad hyped himself up.

"You can do this!!" His arms are throbbing in pain, sweats dripping down his body, smokes invading his lungs, blood oozing out from the cuts earlier, and the unconscious girl underneath her.

Peter is panting heavily by now, head spinning when suddenly the guy that was screaming earlier enters the building followed by two of the firefighters, chasing and telling him to stop.

"Charlotte!!" the guy shouts as soon as he saw the girl and runs to her. The sight of the girl safe and uninjured makes the man's knees give out in relief. He cradles her in his arms, caressing her hair softly.

The lad let out a grunt and the firefighters look at him "Get them out! Hurry!" They both look at each other and start dragging the guy and his daughter out of the building.

Once Peter was sure that they all got out safely, he put all of his concentration on holding the building up. He let out a yell when he let go of it with one of his hands, enduring the weight with his shoulder as support. He aims his free hand toward the building behind the flat and shoots a string, the web perfectly wrapped around the metal pipe of the building.

The lad then grips the string with his fist tightly and inhales deeply. All at once, he let go of the building and pull at the string, barely escaping from being squashed by the crumbling flat.

Peter adjusted his stance, with one arm wrapped around the metal pipe. The yell of panic by the residents that gathered in front of the flat can be heard when the building was about to tilt forward right on top of them. The lad shot a web to the back of the flat with his free hand and halted it in time from crumbling toward the residents.

Peter could only stop it from falling but he know he won't last long since he was almost at his limit, also because the metal pipe he is grasping onto started to make creaking noises.

The firefighters make the residents move out of the way from the tilted flat as soon as possible. And right after that the metal pipe snaps "Oh, shi-" Peter loses his footing and falls together with the building.

Smokes and dust were everywhere, and chunks from the building are making a huge mess all over the ground. But luckily none of the residents were harmed, coughs can be heard here and there. When the dust gradually cleared up, the residents stare with sorrow at their used-to-be home.

Suddenly, in the sea of rubble Peter emerged, willing himself to stand tall. A few seconds pass and the people roar enthusiastically, celebrating their hero of the day. In the end, a life can't be bought with money and if it wasn't because of Peter they'd all be a goner.

The lad raises his sore arm, waving at them. The previous guy that he saved earlier was thanking him dozens of times with the girl in his arms.

Peter could only flash a smile behind his ruined mask which barely hide his face, thanks to the building blocking the evening sun behind him he has no worries "Whenever there's danger" he let out loud enough "JUST CALL FOR A SPIDER!!" the citizen completed the Spiderman hero catchphrase which has grown on him these past months, it made Peter smiles wider "Stay safe everyone!" he exclaimed before swinging away from the cheer of the crowd.

The lad is panting heavily while he swings his way toward the spot in his mind. He thought of going back home but since he was pretty injured he wanted to find some peace of mind. And there's no better place than here, at this building where he lands.

As soon as Peter's feet touch the ground he trips forward, flat on his front. Out of sight from any citizen, he dropped his hero pretense and started gasping out of exhaustion.

The lad then roll over on his back crucially slow and gritted his teeth. His body is aching, throbbing all over and blood hasn't stopped oozing from the wounds he got earlier. He took off his mask and toss it away. A rush of dizziness hits him and his whole body goes numb in a good way, making him forgot the pain.

------------------------------

Peter open his eyes slightly, he didn't remember when and how long he has passed out but considering the sun hasn't set yet meaning that he was out cold not for long.

The lad suddenly went stiff when he sense vibrations from the ground with his ability. His body abruptly moves on instinct before he could think, standing up and grabbing his mask. Based on the aura emitted around Peter they don't seem like a person with bad intention, what disturbs him is that his identity might leak.

As the lad was about to put on his face mask, he caught a whiff of a cedarwood scent cologne that he recognise too well. He snapped his head towards it. The sight in front of him made him drop the piece of garment to the ground, eyes wide and petrified like a deer in front of headlights.

There stood Tony, in a set of a deep blue blazer with a white collared inner t-shirt. He heads towards Peter looking like a walking wet dream.
