"Thank you for your corporation Miss Rebecca," Ivan sat while taking a seat in front of her.
He opened the scroll in front of him and began elaborating his plan to the other three people in the room. Angus was standing at his right and Miss Barnard was standing beside Miss Rebecca.
"The way this spell works is by nulling the relationship between the individuals mana and consciousness. It's almost like forcing the mana out of their bodies for a period of time. The mana is observing what happens to the person like a third person. And then the mana returns to their body, but it's still weak."
"Miss Rebecca, you'll be in charge of countering the effects of the spell. I think there's a central place for the spell, it's core if you'd call it. I want you to think of the mana as something lost and has to be returned to it's owner. You're supposed to bring that connection back completely."
"Miss Barnard, you'll be assisting us by rounding the people up for them to be safe in case any problems occur."

The pitter patter of the rain hit the window. A light drizzle came from the sky accompanied by a soft breeze. Ivan strolled through the door behind Rebecca. She had her hand hovering in the air as it glowed pink. He decided that it was best if he went with her for he needed to examine the area for further analysis. Also, she could protect him and herself if anything were to happen.
She came to a halt in front of a room that had it's door closed. He stopped behind her. Closing her eyes, she channeled her mana into the door and it made the clicking sound of unlocking and opened slightly. She nudged it forward to make room for entry and entered, Ivan hot on her heel.
The room was fully dark so, she flicked her wrist and the candles that were on tall stands forming a circle lit up. In the middle of the room was a large circle that was written in a different language. The same as the one used by Rebecca.
He heard her take in a sharp inhale, he pursed his lips. Around the wall was even more inscribing.
"Stay back please. I'll get to work immediately."
"Do you think you'll be able to do it?"
She sighed, "I have to. Don't interfere until everything disappears."
"Alright."
And so it began. She sat in the middle of the circle and started chanting. She shone a brighter pink each passing second. The circle glowed, followed by the wall. The building began shaking. She quivered as she continued. Sweat formed on her forehead and dripped down her face. Ivan could hear shouts outside. Rebecca's chants got louder, until she was screaming.
A bright light engulfed the entire room for a few seconds before it died down. Then the walls started to crumble. Ivan rushed to Rebecca and pulled her out of the room, running as fast as he could while the building became rubble behind him.
He collapsed outside what was once a building and passed Rebecca to Miss Barnard. Angus sat down beside him.
"Is everyone safe?"
"Yes young master. We got them out some time ago. They fainted after the light appeared."
Ivan lied down with his back on the ground and looked at the now clear, night sky.
"Hey Angus."
"Yes young master?"
"I just had a sense of deja vu."
Angus laughed. This time no one was hurt. They successfully completed the task that needed doing.
