"Brother! Look!" His little brother said.
Cassius peered out the window of the carriage he was riding in on his way to the dukes residence. The view that welcomed him was that of a young man with purple-silver hair laughing heartily while having a water ball fight with children. He was accompanied by a few other adults. The giggles of the children and the chuckles of the adults truly made the atmosphere lighter. Cassius was certain he saw Solen, the orphanage head being dog piled by a group of teenagers. That made him chortle.
"I wanna play too!"
"Some other time Alan, I have business to take care of today."
Alan crossed his arms and scowled at him, "You're always busy."
Cassius smiled.

A brief knock was heard at the door of the dukes study, halting Cassius in his speech. The duke welcomed the person in.
"Pops! I brought you something," the young man said. His head was downcast as he was looking at the tray he held in his hand.
"They're freshly made fo-" After looking up, he froze.
It was the young man he had seen at the orphanage, now that he got a closer look at him, Cassius had to admit that he was quite a looker. He had blue-gray eyes that were now wide, a mole under the right corner of his lip and his purple-silver hair was in a messy bun.
"I apologize for my intrusion. I thought Father was alone. I didn't think he had a guest, I mean none of his guests have such good-looking carriages, so I thought someone came to visit Mother. And so I-"
The duke coughed, causing his son to stop. Cassius almost chuckled openly.
"Oh, I shouldn't disturb you any further," he said, then he placed the tray on the table.
The duke smiled apologetically at Cassius, "Ivan, this is the crown prince, Cassius Soloria. Your Highness, this is my son Ivan."
Ivan bowed down to him and spoke, "It's an honour to meet his Highness. I apologize for my disrespectful behaviour to his Highness."
Cassius laughed, "Oh no worries. It was lovely meeting you Ivan, no ones ever informed me of the beauty of my carriage. It was nice to hear."
Cassius could swear he saw Ivan cringe at his words.
Ivan scurried out of the room Cassius looked at him leave and smiled. He turned to the duke that looked like he had seen a ghost and spoke, "Would you mind if I had some Duke Selenium? These look delicious."
The man nodded his head and so he picked up one of the treats on the tray meant for the duke. After biting into it he jolted up in his seat. It tasted amazing!
The duke finally returned back to his ordinary self and laughed at his reaction, "It tastes wonderful doesn't it?" He picked one up himself, "They're best when freshly made."
"You have a talented cook sir."
The man smiled softly, "I do indeed."
Their meeting continued without a hitch from then on.

After the crown prince left Ivan was called by his father. He cringed, he was certain he was going to get a scolding.
As he entered the room, he saw his fathers gloomy face and lit a candle for himself in his heart.
The man looked up at him, "Are there anymore pastries left? That blasted crown prince basically golfed them all up."
