Link/5/9/9997

far north, beyond hyrule's borders.

I try to find a space to sit in these dark and foggy woods. I find a tall stump, with vines and flowers growing off the side, and I sit down on it.

I begin my meditation, as I call it. It's not really meditation, but People wouldn't understand if I told them what i actually do.

I focus, and I feel the mark under my glove burn. I wince but I try ignore it. The pain grow greater and greater until it stops. I open my eyes. Everything's changed. I'm in a giant room, glowing and white. There is one giant locked door on the far side of the room, and no windows. There are some people around the room, men and women. All of the men wear green tunics and caps. All the women wear royal dresses

"Hey Link" says a voice behind me

"Hello Time," I reply

"What brings you to the afterlife, hero"

"I need to talk with you privately, and preferably before the others notice I'm here. They kids get a bit rough around me."

"If only you were less childish and more mature." He jokes, and I chuckle "Alright let's-"

Time's entire figure shifts, one moment he's a child, then an elder, athen a teenager. His form shifts until it stops as the hero's shade. He falls onto his hands and knees

"Not again" he groans as I help him up "here's a tip, don't mess with time, or it'll mess with you"

"Shiekah really has to make you that time stasis rune"

"He helped make an army of guardians, but he still won't make me a stasis rune."

"Let's go" I say, and a door appears on the wall.

I open it and we go inside, making sure it closes behind us. We're now in a much smaller room, the size of about a child's bedroom. There are two chairs, and we both take a seat.

"So, what did you want to talk about?"

I pause for a moment, trying to think how to word this

"I'm supposed to be the great hero, I'm supposed to know everything, and be worthy of hylia, but I don't feel worthy. I haven't really done anything important."

Time looks at me with an understanding smile

"It's ok to be confused and have questions. You are the most worthy of all of us, you would be able to pull the sword immediately, but your soul isn't bonded with ours yet, so no, not yet."

I'm confused at his words.

"But I have the soul of the hero in me already, don't I?"

Time chuckles to himself for a moment then replies

"It's a very confusing process, and I have no idea why hylia did it like this. You must have your own personal adventure that connects you to the world, and the timeline. I got the stones, all around the kingdom, and created in the time of Sky. That allows the hero spirit to merge with yours. Only then will the sword accept you as it's master."

I frown. It's very confusing, and I don't really like what I'm hearing

"Then What's my adventure going to be?"

Time thinks on this for awhile

"There's no way for you to fix the tragedy happening right now. Our souls are bonded through tragedy, and overcoming it is what connects us best. I suggest that you should visit sites of great tragedy, or the aftermath of it."

Time sighed

"It will be challenging, and tedious at times, are you sure you want this?"

I roll my eyes

"Ty, if I don't do this, the world will be destroyed. Of course I want to." And time smirks

"Okay then. Look for the twilight mirror, the connection from our world to the twilight realm,  the four sword pedestal, where Zelda was transformed into stone in front of pikori link's eyes, and finally, clock town, a tragedy for all who lived there, including me. At each of these places you should meditate, not like how you're doing now, actually meditate, and our memories of the event will come to you, linking the souls, and solidifying the bond between hero and hylian."

"Thank you. Where should I start?" I ask

We leave separate room, and the door disappears behind us

"You're pretty close to mine already, you should find it pretty quickly"

All of the men and women have grouped together, in a semicircle, holding the hand of their pair. Ty grabs his pair's hand, and joins her in the semicircle. They both have a 'lag spike,' child, elder, shade, back to normal, then it stops, and they smile.

"Good luck hero" they all say in unison, and my vision goes white.

I reawaken on the stump, and look north. Through the mist and trees, I see a clearing, with a town and a large clock tower in the distance. I stand up, and head towards it.

First story! I hope it's not too confusing.
